Healing Bark Face Mask - The Original 100% Natural Thanaka Powder - Deep Cleansing and Detoxifying - DIY Skincare Remedy for All Skin Types

I never write stuff like this online but I felt the need to share because of what happened. Ive had breakouts on and off since I was 14 and have always been super hesitant to add new products to my routine because I didn’t want to make anything worse. I want to be able to go out without makeup on but I’ve been struggling to heal some of the dark scars and bumps around my mouth and chin. I’ve tried clay masks, peel off masks, and products with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, but none of them did anything for my skin.After seeing it all over my feed I decided, why not, I’ll give it a shot (you can’t argue with the price) and I’ll try using it for a bit. The first night, after i washed my face, I mixed the mask with a plastic bowl and spoon, and then applied it to my chin, cheeks, and forehead. I was a bit afraid to leave it on for long because I have sensitive skin, but I let it dry for 15 mins and after rinsing it off my face wasn’t red at all. I didn’t notice an immediate difference in the way my skin looked, but my whole face felt refreshed and alive.I’ve since been using it almost every other day and my skin feels AMAZING. Looks wise, I haven’t had any redness, dryness or breakouts since using it and overall my face looks so much more clear and smooth. I’m not quite sure if its from the exfoliation or detoxifying, but I am so happy with the results I’ve seen.I highly recommend giving this mask a chance and seeing if it works for you. To me, it’s totally worth it!! Anyways, hope this helps someone :)

I’ve been looking for a face mask that didn’t dry out my skin (clay masks do that to me). I get hormonal breakouts and I just had a little chin breakout just before I ordered this. I’ve been using the mask for a week and my breakout is completely gone. I feel like the way the mask clings to skin makes it the perfect non irritating exfoliant. Love it. will keep buying it.

It has a very neutral smell. Almost none at all. Powder is super fine grade and very silky. I can't seem to get it to make a paste! Ended up adding it in to a whole bottle of sunscreen and even that was hard to blend. The powder seems almost a bit hydrophobic.

doesn't have much of a scent. Good for oily skin. Has kept my skin clear and less shiny

Great value but beware if you have sensitive skin. Horrible reaction after just one use on my daughters sensitive skin. Be careful. Do a test area on a patch of skin before you put it all over your face.

This is one of my few masks I can get my husband to do with me, because he gets such a kick out of the fact that it's essentially sawdust. Very fine, very special sawdust - but sawdust.It doesn't mix very nicely, or look very pretty, or apply very evenly. But absolutely does have a cooling effect on your skin while it dries, which is neat and will be so refreshing in the summertime. It doesn't irritate my skin and it rinses off nicely. And it leaves my skin looking happy and feeling soft!And the best part - it is super affordable! I mean, it's expensive for sawdust, but it's a cheap face mask. I will absolutely be purchasing this again in the future!

I made a mask out of this and did half the recommended recipe and it was still too much. Next time I'll do only a quarter of the recipe and I'm sure it will be perfect. The consistency is similar to mashed pumpkin. It was very soothing and I enjoyed putting it on my perioral dermatitis. There wasn't a noticeable difference after using it just once, but like I said, it did have a soothing effect that I enjoyed. I'm sure if I continue to use it, it will be very healing.

It peels off my face horribly. Not so pleasant smell too.
