I just received the harness, but I have used Pawaboo harnesses on our dogs since 2017. We keep them in our vehicles, and none have shown any wear.We have big, rambunctious dogs, mostly Labs, who love to see their harness because that means road trip. They quickly wore out faux sheep skin harnesses; strap harnesses were more difficult to adjust and apparently were uncomfortable, as the dogs moved around a lot more and got them twisted. I also worried about the straps hurting the dogs in the event of hard braking or a crash. The Pawaboo harness has a large pad at the chest that I think would help more in an emergency. While it apparently hasn't been crash tested, it's hard to see how it could be improved to help keep a dog safer. The weakest link for any harness might be the strap that typically snaps into a seat belt buckle and attaches at the back. I try to keep that strap adjusted short while still giving the dog some room to move around a little. It certainly will keep your pet from leaping out of the car to pursue that noblest of game animals, the squirrel.Full disclosure: we did hit a full-grown deer at highway speed last spring, a common hazard where we live. The dog in the back seat had no physical injuries, however, he was terrified by the loud bangs produced when the air bags and seatbelt pretensioners deployed. Unfortunately, the deer didn't surviveI have never had difficulty adjusting the Pawaboo harnesses. The adjusting straps, once set, don't slip, and they are a snap (literally two snaps) to put on even a big dog who is jumping around with excitement. I should also mention that the harness works well for for walking your dog, and the leash attachment at the back gives one a lot more control if the dog bolts.Our dogs tend to weigh about 70 pounds and have the deep chests that Labs develop; the XL size seems to fit very well with the two adjusting straps in front at about 1-2 inches from fully extended. So an L might not be big enough for dogs the size of ours. I just tried the new harness on our dog, who came by to see why I was still at my laptop instead of walking him, and it fit perfectly.I would say one can't go far wrong with one of these harnesses; you can certainly pay more if that would increase your pride of ownership.

This harness has been through the wringer. I’m talking mud puddles, falling into a lake, spoiled protein shake soaks, countless walks, anything you can think of, this harness is gonna pull through lol. Stains come right out. Odors take a bit more encouraging. A good investment!

Adequate room to adjust to fit my 30 lb dog. Seems comfortable and sturdy. Will use to travel in car and the harness is suitable for walking, too.

I am thrilled with this find! I have shopped for a harness that would keep my precious critter safe while riding in the car AND for a product that was cost effective.... This IS EXACTLY what I've been looking for!!! This harness DOES NOT have cheap clasps or closings like velcro, and the metal and plastic pieces are heavy and sturdy. This harness is not only a great product for the money, but it is simply a great product, especially when you're looking for it to provide safety features. Giving it 5-STARS !- I ordered a small for my dog, Daisy. She is a 9lb Yorkie, with a few adjustments, the harness fits her perfectly.

After wearing the harness about 1/2 hour he began to chew on it. Even after chastizing him constantly, he chewed all the way through 2 of the straps. Thankfully I was able to sew them back together. It needs to be heavier!

The leased that clicks to the seat belt is awesome! and the harness is made with good material.

Ordered 3 of these harnesses. They are very well made and easy to adjust on each of our dogs. They have a good padding to them and they're the perfect width. Our dogs seems very comfortable in them. I also like that they come with the seatbelt which latches into the buckle securely and it also comes with the hook which is what we are using. If you are not using a safety harness with seatbelt for your pets, I strongly urge you to buy one of these. Always attach to a harness & NEVER to a collar. It's better to have your pups buckled in securely than to have them free in the vehicle, especially in the unfortunate event of an accident.

I chose this set for my puppy as it was important for a seat belt to attach to a harness rather than his collar (to protect his neck in case of impact). Although he already has a harness for walking, it's extremely sturdy and probably not comfortable for a long journey. Instead this harness is secure yet still very breathable - he's much happier in it.The seat belt attachment fits perfectly in the seat belt socket and can have it's length adjusted. That said, it probably isn't long enough for big dogs (we have a 5 month old cockapoo puppy and it's just about okay). He doesn't have great freedom of movement to get comfy on long journeys. Although it's safe, we'll be keeping this for short journeys and buying him another lead that attaches to the headrest to allow for more movement.

I bought this harness as a car harness for my 15 week old pup to travel safely in the car, for the money I wasn’t expecting much, but I’m actually really really impressed! It’s a great harness, we use it in the car (comes with the attachment that clips in-bonus!) and it fits lovely around his chest area, and from day one he looked comfy in it and had no qualms about wearing it. I like it so much we just leave it on him for walks and it feels nice & sturdy, with plenty of padding but not bulky.I bought the green colour and it’s a really beautiful green shade.My puppy is a miniature schnauzer and he’s had the harness from about 12 weeks, it’s a size SMALL and fits perfectly with plenty of growing room, so should fit for quite a while. If he ever does grow out of it, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again in the next size up.

Bought for our growing German Shepherd puppy of 5 months. Unfortunately this harness is not good quality as the strap from the d ring has come off. This was put back and the d ring pressed closed, but I can see it is going to open up again so not good quality.I feel we need to go to pet suppliers and look at the various options to pick out a good quality product.For this reason I wouldn’t recommend this harness as it could result in a dog escaping from its lead in an inappropriate place.

Very pleased with the harness. Large size is perfect for our 4/5 month old golden retriever and is on the smallest fitting so will expand as she grows. We also use it for training as it’s easier to stop her from jumping up than holding a collar. Also perfect with the attachment for the seat belt in the car.

I have two small dogs, and wanted them to be secure in the car for long journeys. These harnesses work perfectly, and are easy to fit (once you've worked out which way is up!). I bought the small size, and they just fit on the chest of my Westipoo). The bit that goes into the seat buckle easily unclips from the harness, meaning that I could fit the harness in the house, then just clip them onto the seat belt part in the car, making the whole process more safe for little escapees like my dogs! I have already recommended these to friends who were very interested in how they looked, and how easy they were to use. I have now used them for 2 long journeys, and they seem to be ideal. The price was a bonus too!
