Firm, mild beef flavor - good tallow!
After seeing many reviews of odd-looking tallow from this company, I was a little nervous to pull the trigger. But big thanks to the reviewer that melted his down and showed that it became perfect tallow and DIDN'T LOSE ANY WEIGHT from heating. Great science! That review helped me make the decision to buy this, and I just placed an order for a second tub! This stuff is great, and MUCH healthier than we as Americans have been led to believe. It's very stable at room temperature or cooking temps. It's AMAZING for frying potato products. We just made some scratch fries the other day; my wife and I ate about 2lbs of them!If you're into keto or a stearic acid diet, this is the product for you. I've been adding this grass fed tallow to my diet about as much as possible, while removing seed oils.Immediately my skin is less sensitive to cold things, and the soles of my feet are tougher, hands too. This might sound strange but it's a big change for me. I'm such a wuss in cold water or cold ground, yet just this change makes those things SO MUCH more bearable. After about a month I noticed that I had much better natural strength. I've always been strong, but even though I'm barely exercising, I'm able to do more pull-ups, burpees, and lift more over my head than I could for years.I'm excited to get better at making fries and have a system for it so they aren't a pain to make or clean up. Nom nom!

Wow! That's all Folks. This is gooooood for cooking.
We are carnivores now, after going on a Keto Diet, we learned to love saturated fats again. I add some edible stearic acid powder from Fire in the Bottle -- when I spoon dollops of Tallow, melt and blend it in a pan, then pour in a storage glass container for the Fridge. When I cook our Chuck stew, we add a spoonful of love with this beautiful Tallow, and we cook the Chuck in the oven for three hours under low heat, until its fork tender. I also add it to a steak, a special treat these days with the high price of meat, and it's stove top fried, seared to perfection. We have a screen we put over the pan so the fat doesn't jump at us. I follow a bow-tie diet. 72 hours fasting with Chinese soup with red onion, scallions, and bok choy. One day with Kim Chi and Sheep yogurt for probiotics (break the fast). Then, 72 hours of Carnivore with Beef, Goat Cheese, Eggs, Hot Cocoa with MCT, Krill, Sardines, Salmon, and clam soup. We feast with tallow for 3days, We fast 3 days to reset insulin levels, inflammation, and lower the BCAA. The Bow-Tie is a Yin Yang YO-YO way of living. A real SOBER DIET. We get plenty of MCT along with C15 from goat cheese, sheep yogurt, and MCT short chain fatty acids. We also have Cod Liver once a week.

Excellent for cooking and bird suet cakes
Easy to use for cooking and a great healthier substitute for oil or butter when greasing a pan. Excellent for french fries and steak. Wont use anything else. Birds flock to my suits now. It's healthier and more nutritious for birds instead of lard or gelatin or corn syrup. Suets stay solid too. Melt the tallow on a low flame, then mix in birdseed, dried fruit and nuts and let it set. Attracts many different birds.

UPDATE...Wonderful product. Read in ref to liquidy
UPDATE: Wanted to check how it fried etc...sliced a potato and fries. They were crispy and tasty. I let the oil set and cool. The oil cooled to a nice white solid.I had read somewhere you might want to reheat the oil and let it cool. It should become a solid. Now that I know it is good I will probably place in smaller containers and freeze it. I wouldn't use it before the date.Thank you and will order again!=======================================Just received my tallow. It is liquidy. Not sure why it would be liquidy. I do not think it is that hot out. I am going to refrigerate it and see what happens. First time using grass fed, normally use the Waygu. It looks like liquidy yellowish cream of rice.Researched and some reasons for liquid...a) grass fed may not firm up as much because higher proportion of unsaturated fats.b) how it is rendered...too high a temp or too long may affect its texture. Water may not have been fully cooked off.c) storage...exposed fluctuations...pure tallow should harden below melting point (104-113 F). Grass fed can skew a bit lower.I will re-evaluate after the refrigeration.

its good tallow...
Makes fried things better!!! You should refrigerate immediately after opening it.. Starts to smoke at 375.. Cost a lot for Fat.. But then again everything has went up the past few years. I find that I dont want to pay the meat prices in the store and have started eating less. However we eat more and more fried foods.. Helps to stretch the meat cost out. This tallow makes the best fried potatoes, chimichangas, fried steak, chicken or pork, you have ever had.. Next up is Fried tomatoes. For the money shipped to your door it is a good value... Oh ya cant forget get GRAVY, its so good!!!

Tallow is phenomenal for many applications, however...
With this particular brand, the product must have gotten too warm at some point because it was a loose, lumpy texture and darker color than what I am used to, which is creamy, white and fluffy. Or perhaps the tallow I got before was just more processed. Whatever the case, this is still a great product that is clean and natural.

Arrived with cracked lid and tallow spilled everywhere
It arrived with a crack in the lid and the tallow spilled everywhere. Took me forever to clean up all that mess and who knows how much tallow was wasted. What a joke. I will be buying a different brand from now on.
