Appreciate the slimness of this calculator, yet the size of the keys when you open it up are perfect. Very easy to use. The display is also a perfect size even for my crappy vision. Please with this purchase!

THE 1.5 VOLT BATTERY CAN BE REPLACED IF YOU HAVE THE PATIENCE. Next to the hinges on the display side, there are two #1 Phillips head screws. Carefully remove these and place them in a clean, dry glass. If you can, have someone help you carefully remove the cover plate by using a flat headed screwdriver. Once the cover is removed, the battery is on the upper left-hand side. The battery that is installed has many equivalents. They are LR1130, G10, V389, D389, GP389, 389, SR1130, 189, GP189, LR54, S1131E and SR54, just to name a few. Please do not attempt to remove the four screws on the base, button side as I did. Virtually all of the rubber buttons will fly in all directions.

I bought this calculator for my 3 year old grandson. He always likes to play with the one I bought several years ago. He knows how to open it, turn it on and off, put numbers in sequence in the display, and clear the display so he can put up additional numbers when he runs out of space. He doesn't understand adding or subtracting yet, but right now pressing the keyboard and having numbers appear at the top is exciting. It's sturdy, secure (I close mine, and keep it in my purse), the numbers and buttons are large (good for him and me), it's small enough for his little hands to manage, and it turns itself off when left idle. Also, he now has a real world association for the words "calculator " and "number."

This is my third calculator of this model. I have used one for years and just really like it. It is portable, fits nicely in your pocket or purse, and is easy to read. My favorite calculator of all time.
