Good puzzles for adults
The patterns here are slightly more difficult than in the Pattersons other books, although they're still very acheiveable for most intermediate scrollers. Some really stunning patterns, done in beautiful timbers. I would really like to get hold of some of the recommended timbers to try out a few of these- the Australian lancewood used for one of the dragons looked amazing. As with all their books, the patterns range from easy through to difficult, with some of the difficult patterns making really nice gifts for people interested in fantasy creatures, I imagine they would sell well at craft shows if that's what you do. If you do find them a little difficult to cut, they can always be simplified.

Another Wonderful Peterson Book
If you don't have this book from the Petersons and you use a scroll saw you are missing out. Simple lines, logical layout, oh yea and FUN. She has one online "Fantasy Adventure Puzzle Pack" Which is worth getting also. Oh Yea if you have the first edition of Animal Puzzles, Get the 2nd edition. I have the first so didn't look at the 2nd edition for a while. It is updated and now has 50 Puzzles, so, now I have both editions and do not regret either purchase.Everything she draws is worth having. Thanks

Great Book
This is a great book, good how to section for getting started. Some of the designs are fairly simple and you can get going right away, others would need a bit of practice. Very good details through out the book. I would recommend this for someone interested in starting to make wood puzzles.

great book
Great designs in book. I wish the pages were easier to trace to other paper. But I have worked something out since I don't have a copier.

fanasy and legend
This is one of the best scroll saw pattern books that I've bought so far. All of the patterns in this book are worth making with a good range of simple, moderate, and challenging patterns.

Good starting guide for beginners
Very good on techniques eg how to cut into corners and get sharp edges and how to lay out templates and finish projects.Only problem is, like most of the books in this series, the woods they suggest for the projects. I've never heard of most of them and probably cost an arm and a leg from a specialist timber merchant. I cut all my projects from English ash or beech - usually supplied in 1 inch sawn planks from a timber yard and taken down to size with a power planer.

very informative with great tips
found this very helpful with great tips and easy to follow patterns.Good suggestions as to types of wood to use but in the U.K. most of these woods are hard to come by or very expensive.
