If you ever have a new hip you will need this for a few weeks. Shoehorn together with clothes hook to pull up your trousers. Conveniently comes in three pieces which are screwed together.

I had just had shoulder surgery and was in a very constricted sling and needed something to help pull my clothes up and down, since I am able to only use 1 arm. This tool has been great. I'm using it in helping me get my pants down or up daily. I have not had to use the shoe horn because I have some slip on shoes. The hook part is great because you can also tuck it under your shirt on the side to help pull your shirt down in the back and side on the opposite side that you can't use. Also that fact that it screws apart is great it makes it smaller, which is great when you have to go out. The price was also good. It's also very sturdy. The dr said I could drive if it worked with my sling on. I'm a person who hates to not be able to go when I want and things outside of the box. My thought was if I could go somewhere by myself but I had to figure out how to get the car door closed on my own. I took out this tool without the shoehorn part. I thought I would use the white hook part to pull the door closed. I tried it a couple of different ways but it didn't work, so no driving for me until the sling comes off hopefully in a couple more weeks. I also love that it comes with a storage bag.

This tool is worth its weight in gold after my hip replacement surgery. Use it to get dressed, undressed, to reach needed items, etc.

This is an amazing tool. I was recently diagnosed with MS and started OT and PT, where they recommended using assistive items. This is an awesome tool. It's incredibly sturdy and the length would be good for use when sitting OR standing - even if you're taller... But it's adjustable by taking part of the pole off. It has a good-sized shoe horn on one end, and a clothes hook on the other end. Both are very study and can handle quite a bit of pressure or weight, which is nice on both ends; lifting something with the clothes hook, like a winter coat, isn't an issue. And I really beat up the shoe horn. I am not very flexible and my range of motion is not good - so getting my shoes on is a major process. This large shoe horn helped much more than most. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, and I'd definitely buy it again!

I use this to put closed toed shoes on, although it is a rarity that I wear them, and to assist me in putting my clothes on. The clothes often slip off of the hooks because there's not enough bend to them, but I'm trying to make due with it. The shoe horn portion of it is good to help get closed toed shoes on.

I'm very independent and hate asking for help constantly so when you can only use one arm for 6-8 weeks this has been a huge help. Pulling up pants, putting on shoes, putting on and taking off shirts and jackets the list goes on.
