well made, attractive, and has soft bristles
This review is specifically for the Morphe R5 brush ("pro pointed contour") although I do have a couple other brushes in the Morphe rose gold collection (what "R" in the product ID stands for; a reference to the color of the metal ferrule holding the bristles) and they are of similar quality.Anyway, I don't do contouring (not really, anyway) but I instead use this for blush. (You might wonder why I have a contour brush if I don't contour -- this came in the Morphe brush subscription so I figured I would find a use for it.) I don't use the tip so much, but brush the side bristles through whatever blush I want to use and then lightly dust it over my face. (I have only used this for pressed powder products thus far, but have been using it every day for almost two weeks.)This picks up a decent amount of pigment. I find that the amount color distributed on my cheeks is more dependent on the blush, itself, than on the brush. (In other words, this brush's behavior is consistent with my other brushes, at least the way I use them.) So Laura Geller baked blushes turn out lighter in color and Too Faced blushes are really dark and I have to be more careful. This is well made and seems to be of good quality. The white bristles make it easier to see when the brush needs cleaning. (I clean it by rubbing it on a bar of Dove under warm running water and hang, bristles down, to dry. It takes about a day to dry if there is sufficient air flow around the bristles.) No bristles have shed and there weren't any bent ones. The ferrule is secure on the handle, and the handle is comfortable to hold. It is not scratchy on my face, either.Anyway, I'm pretty happy with this brush (#R5), and my comments about the construction of the brush also apply to several of the eyeshadow brushes from the same collection. (Plus, the rose gold ferrules are just pretty!)
