It's Piano Lesson Time - Book 3

This book has one of the worst covers. The boy in the foreground looks so unhappy having to play piano. But, you can't judge a book by it's cover. The music selections of this series are varied and move the learner along at a good pace. My little piano student has progressed well going though this series, now moving onto book four, and has found many favorites to learn and memorize. I'm not a piano teacher, just a parent who has seen good results using this series. I hope the publishers find a new illustrator.

I have been a piano teacher for 20+ years. I usually use the Faber series, but I now use this series if I have 2 students from the same family starting at the same time, so there is no sense of competition. This is a close second. The variety and choice of music is nice, and the arrangements very musical. I actually prefer starting with this book one over the Faber Primer (which I don't care for). There is a book you can use before this for a very young beginner with some pre-note reading skills, but this is sufficient for most students as their first book.

This book is a favorite of my grandson's teacher... It IS a fun book to learn piano techniques!

Fast shipping, and book arrived in good condition. Great book for basics. Captures kids’ interest well.

Not sure why this seems to be the status quo for music books, but I ordered two and both were pretty well beat up upon delivery. Our local music stores are closing down one by one which limits access to hard copy music, but this kind of shipping quality is embarrassing to have to give to my students... Please come up with a better shipping system!

Easiest beginner book to follow in my opinion.
