Love it!
In addition to reviewing the first (original) Halloween movie I thought I’d travel on over here and grant another 5 stars to this Blu-ray. I watched Halloween 1&2 profusely as a child when my Mom was an avid VCR recorder and now, seeing it in such superb quality is wonderful and a great bringer of nostalgic feelings. The price is cheap for such good quality. Plus seeing the extra deleted scenes that I hadn’t ever seen before were a plus!

It still holds up as a completely worthy sequel/follow up to the first Halloween movie.
This Halloween movie was in fact the first one that I ever saw. As a kid I enjoyed this movie for a great scare or two but not having seen the first before it, I didn't totally know what was going on in the movie. That didn't ruin the fun of watching it, however. They truly upped their game with this sequel. What one first notes is that even though this movie was made 3 years after the first(1981), it in fact continues to take place in 1978 to pick up where the first movie left off including a bit of flashbacks of the first Halloween to both refresh one's memory but also to get themselves ready for what is to come next.More about how they upped their game was, the gore and great kills were more emphasized plus more sex and nudity, a bit of camp, plus a much greater example of what Michael Myers is totally capable of.First of all, the hospital setting proved a perfect setting as it raised the suspense in terms of where and how Michael was hiding, where he would pounce next, and what readily available tools he would be using to his advantage on his victims. Michael's intensity and how terrifying a presence he is is intensified a whole lot this time whatwith his no nonsense way of killing his victims grows even stronger.Jamie Lee Curtis not only puts in twice the strong performance as Laurie Strode in this sequel, but she continues to look gorgeous and sexy along with several other actresses in this that give way to some satisfying Halloween eye-candy.Donald Pleasance also upped his game in his return performance as Dr. Sam Loomis. His intense desire to stop Michael at any cost plus stress and fear that he faces while doing all he can to just keep his focus while putting himself before others, makes for one great Ahab to root for.The cinematography is still gorgeous and shows a feeling of dread as well in the outside shots that we get of the neighborhood in Haddonfield. One of the best parts of the horror is amidst all of the beautiful shots of the hospital is how a seemingly safe and friendly environment comes a total sense of fear and lack of security. The script was brilliantly written with very few awkward lines plus some very talented actors to fuel it.The nudity isn't alot but it's still great nudity. My 2 most fave kills in the movie are: Michael forcing the sexy nurse's head into the hottub water after Michael turns up the heat and even if it was off camera, I enjoyed the creativity and genius of head nurse Mrs. Alves having her blood drained out of her body by Michael. The soundtrack is even better this time with the basic theme song and all of the creepy and weird tunes that make it more scary.Overall, when it comes to the first Halloween(1978) and this one, you simply can't go wrong with the gore, creative kills, beautiful cinematography, sensational score, sex and nudity, strong performances from the actors, Michael being very clever in how he handles his victims, great eye-candy, intensity of the actor playing Michael, the creepy and weird music, and best of all this picks up exactly where the last Halloween left off with flashbacks. One great 80's slasher that is not to be missed. 10 stars out of 10!!!

halloween 2: here we go
in answer to all the questions for all those H2 fanatics out there, like me, here we go. universal electively put back some deleted scenes for tv viewing of the film years after its initial release. i was 15 years old at that time and had seen the film in theatres. when i saw the film on tv finally i was shocked to see extra scenes, scenes i did not see in the film. these scenes answered alot of questions that fans frequently ask like "WHY WAS THE HOSPITAL SO DARK"? alot of these questions will b answered if you get this excellant bluray thru amazon. this sadly is not a directors cut. not included in these deleted scenes section is extra dialogue between "mr garrett and karen. As shes walking in late and he buzzes her in he stops her and gives her his own unique perspective on the killings in the neighborhood. and michael got cut himself in a small but poignant scene not included, when he finds lauries room and walks towards her, scalpel in hand, he starts stabbing away at what he thinks is laurie but she hides the pillows under the covers, we all know that. well before michael walks out of the room he grabs the pillows and violently jerks them across the room then he walks out. its nothing yes but i would of love for that scene to be put back in. I bought this bluray hoping and praying that all this would be put back in the film seeing this is the 30th anniversary issue but such is not the case. all except those two scenes are back in the disks deleted scenes. oh well, the blu ray is still a real TREAT and i recommend it highly. the picture is so much sharper and john carpenter and alan howarths score is soooo extremely powerful in full dts 5.1 master audio. i recommend one really crank it up to get the full effect. that alone is worth the price of this bluray. so many years weve heard it thru just 2.0 dolby surround. it substitutes for no commentary track by director rick rosenthal who went on to do BAD BOYS with sean penn and came back to do HALLOWEEN RESSURECTION with jamie and no featurettes sadly but again oh well. Another surprise is the 1984 feature documentary "TERROR IN THE AISLES" hosted by sir donald pleasance and nancy allen commentaring and making fun of films in the horror genre. a nifty treat you'll love. stay scared!

Jamie Lee Curtis / Halloween fan
Honestly, I'm addicted to this series, but Jamie Lee Curtis makes the movies for me. The ones without her aren't as good. But in any case, the movie picks up where Halloween left off. Michael Myers is back, still roaming around Haddonfield while Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) recovers in Haddonfield Hospital. Guess where Michael heads? So he starts picking off the security and medical folks one by one while Laurie starts to understand that all is not well.I get that Michael has no words, but for an actor without words, Dick Warlock does a great job of lurking and stalking and such. And finally, Donald Pleasence as Loomis would steal the show if it weren't for Jamie Lee Curtis.Fabulous, and so I bought it.

Perfect sequel to the first and original Halloween!
Of course Michael Myers will be tagging along and go through another deep blood bath of bodies to get to Laurie. If you're a child of the 80's, and a fan of cult horror it will take you back to your youthful fear of Halloween, and make you jump at the thought of what goes bump in the night.

Halloween 2 German Copy
I have always liked this film and always watch it straight after the first Halloween as I believe this film ends the Michael Myers story. This is a German copy but can be played in English by setting up the audio on the set up screen. The transfer to Blu-ray is pretty good but I have only given it 3 stars because this has been heavily censored. I had no idea I was purchasing an edited version of this film. All the gory scenes have been edited to cut out the impact of all Michael Myers attacks and not showing any blood. Later scenes make no sense because they have edited the earlier scene explaining why that person is acting in a certain way. I have now managed to find the 30th Anniversary edition on Blu-ray which is uncut and a better quality transfer. Great film but the uncut version is the one to buy.

Not Very Good
I used to like this film when I was younger (and more stupid). However, I bought this DVD and watched it again recently, to see if I still felt the same way. I didn't. The film has dated very badly, most of the acting is atrocious and the overall picture and sound quality on the DVD (Scanbox) isn't very good, either. I also had the earlier DVD release from Sanctuary, which was even worse. Seriously, though, anyone who regards this film as a "horror classic" has obviously not seen many decent horror films. Save your money and spend it on the original Halloween, or one of the Friday The 13th films. They make this film look like a classic. Two stars from me. The passing of time has not been kind to this film.

Halloween 2 U.S region free
You cant pickup Halloween 2 in the U.K yet so decided to go for this U.S region free release, I personally think this is the best one to go for, Picture quality is great and it also comes with DTS 5.1, the best thing about this release is that it also has The Terror in the Aisles documentary in the extras, this is the only way you can get this documentary, well worth the money.

I shot him six times, this Guy this Man . He's not human!
Continuing straight on from The first HALLOWEEN , Michael Myers is still out there and pursuing after the innocent badysitter Laurie Strode . Hell stop at nothing till she's dead and , not to mention other countless victims . Who cross his path . Classic sequel they don't make them , like this no more . This two disc set is absolutely fantastic , giving the 1st class treatment . From The Scream Factory with stacks of extras , also the rare Tv version as well . A must for all HALLOWEEN and horror fan collectors. This is region A locked , so make sure your Bluray player can play region 1 discs . You won't be disappointed with this edition is superb 👌

More of a comedy!
Four stars is generous, but this film is good as it follows on the events from the previous night (Halloween 1978) though made three years later. Again, Donald Pleasance is great in this film. The hospital staff have a poor script to work with, the acting is not so good, and Haddonfield hospital must be the worst run hospital I've ever seen, with no patients! Lots of problems with this film, so it's more of a comedy. One of the better in the franchise, but Michael's character and appearance differs greatly. He seems to know how to operate hospital equipment!A must see for Michael Myers fans and fans of the first film.
