Life Is Short And So Is This Book: Brief Thoughts On Making The Most Of Your Life

Printed in extra small letters. Use a magnifying glass to read. Eyeglasses isn't enough.
Simple yet powerful message. The concepts are useful and may improve the quality of life when applied.I would have given it 5 stars but I was super annoyed the whole time I was reading because my eyes were severely strained as I read the pages printed in extra small letters just so to conform with the name of the book.."Life is short and so is this book".I'm a wide reader since I was in grade school and must have read hundreds or perhaps thousands of books but this is the first time I've seen a book printed in extra small letters. I had to buy a magnifying glass $12.60 just so I can read this $4.95 book.I would recommend this book to people I'm not crazy about just to strained their eyes.😏

Well worth your time!
A distillation of the best of self-help and self-empowerment books. Like Jordan Peterson but less stuffy and academic. This is frank wisdom advice where we make the most of our abilities, situations, and time in order to live a meaningful life and help others do the same.

Life is short and so is this book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who need a little kick in order to focus on their lives.I found this very interesting, motivating, uplifting and down to earth. Peter Atkins was very precise in his view and covered many subjects of interest. Thank you!

You've read this book many times before
This just one more book by an an incredibly privileged person with the same old observations. We keep hoping for a different insight but never find such.

Inspiring truth!
I really enjoyed this read! This book is well done, full of ideas we all need to re-visit frequently, and a great reminder to those of us living a relatively good life that we need to acknowledge it and be aware of it! I feel fortunate, indeed, and while I knew everything in this book...revisiting that knowledge was certainly a positive experience! I believe I will re-read this from time to time! Also, the quotes were terrific, as well!

Great read!
It’s a refreshingly brilliant read! If you are looking to read and get insights on life lessons but don’t have a whole day to spend on a book, then this one is for you! Full of short but informative one-liners and life lessons.

Worthwhile
In an environment full of noise, a clear collection of simple signals. Two hours of your attention reading and reflecting will likely pay a 100X return.

A Must-read
This book is something helpful guide to dealing with life, even in the worst of times. We all hit a wall at some point on our lives, the wall could be a partner leaving you, and we forget that this wall was once supportive. We fail to recognise this, and as a result we fail to move on. The wall disappears and we just stand there, staring, in denial. I've faced a dozen different walls, and life will keep building them up, but the reality is: that we need to keep on moving, find another route.Like the author, I am no optimist- with life the way it is, I have a hard time believing anyone can be-therefore this book resonated well with me. A book which condenses all the wisdom this writer has accumulated during the course of his life so far. And of course there are so many questions left unanswered, or subjects unmentioned, but this is a short book after all!

short and sweet
It's great to see someone taking the effort to write down what they see as the most important things to live a good happy life. My only criticism is that some of the author's recommendations are zero sum games, where by definition not everyone can benefit (only the winners will). For example, he recommends working hard and being the best in your chosen field - but this competitive mindset only allows for a small elite of 'winners'. Sure I may do well by this maxim if I'm more talented than my peers, but it's logically impossible for everyone to do better than everyone else.

Short but sweet
Well worth an hour (or less) of anyone's time. Certainly makes you think. Life advice boiled down to the bare bones.

Superficial and doesn’t really explain a lot
This book goes through a broad range of subjects, but does not go deep in any of them. It is short, so I could not go deep anyway. But as it is very superficial, it doesn’t really bring any practical useful information, just general guidelines on how to behave at work or private life to be as much productive as possible.
