Nice soaking tub for a small space!
This tub has transformed my bathroom! It looks beautiful and the depth is perfect for soaking. I never thought I'd be able to find a deep tub in a 30" width. Can't say enough good things about it!I do not have the problem of water collecting on the sides that others here have mentioned. The slanted back takes up a bit of length but is worth it for the comfort factor. Love it!

Easy to clean
I replaced with American Standard tub and it seems much easy to clean now.

Avoid.. water collects on the sides and corners!
The tub looks nice, but as the previous poster stated, it is horribly designed. Because of the flat sides, water constantly collects in the corners and sides. We even reset the tub in an effort to re-level, but the problem hasn't improved.

The contractor certainly wasn't happy about that
This is an attractive tub, but the tile flange along the top edge of this tub is thicher than I've ever seen before. Installation instructions specify that cement board should be shimmed out 1/4" all the way around the tub. If you shim out the left and right tub wall, to do it correctly, you must continue to ship out those walls as they extend out into the bathroom. The contractor certainly wasn't happy about that, but I insisted that the bathtub be installed per the manufacturers installation instructions. My contractor said that he would not recommend purchasing that tub again because of the extra work it required.

A great design doesn't matter if it cracks and leaks
We purchased and installed the tub as part of a bathroom remodel in May 2020. In March 2024 we started seeing water damage to the bathroom beneath the tub, and figured it out is due to a crack in the tub. I feel like such an idiot for trusting the Kohler name brand - it's ridiculous to offer a tub with only a 1 year warranty, considering replacing the tub requires a full bathroom gut and redo. Shame on me for trusting Kohler, and shame on Kohler for designing a product with such obvious flaws. Similar reports on the "big blue box store" also show this issue is not limited to us - many others have had the same cracking issues within the same 3-5 year period. Do your research and DON"T BUY THIS TUB!

Terrible quality
1946-RA-96 Do not buy this tub. We purchased this tub because of the Kohler name - big mistake. We did not notice just how flimsy this tub is until it was installed - too late to rectify this huge mistake. After every shower or bath, this tub pops and creaks due to expanding and contracting. Now we realize that you can push against the tub, and it moves! Kohler refunded what we paid and gave us $2,500 toward the estimate to have the tub replaced. Do not purchase this model.

Don't risk it, this tub is flimsy and cracks.
I have had mine a little over three years and it developed a crack. Its in a guest bath with moderate use and regular sized people. The tub only has a one yr warranty. This tub was installed correctly by a professional installer. A wall was even opened to pack better. When I called Kohler the only authorized repair people (if it can be repaired) is an hour and a half away and they so far haven't returned my calls. the bathroom is unusable and will cost thousands and thousands of dollars to re-do. I'm getting physically ill over the thought.

holds water on sides..company blames everyone but themselves.
It has no way to drain the flat sides. WATER collects running off on floor or setting against the wall causing calk and grout breakdown. Do not purchase. Kohler says that is just the way it is?
