Devil's Food Cake Murder (A Hannah Swensen Mystery)

Fluffy, but fun
I read most of the books after getting hooked on the Murder, She Baked television series. I still picture Hannah as Alison Sweeney. The books are full of writing flaws and the dialogue can be a bit stiff at times, but there's something about the setting and the characters that are still warm. She does occasionally use very politically incorrect language, and the fact that Hannah is only supposed to be 30 and has absolutely no knowledge of cell phones, big screen tvs, or computers is maddening. the whole storyline is completely illogical in most of these books, but there's still a fun read.

Entertaining book
I loved the entire series of which this book a part. Hannah Swenson is an attractive character in the series and her friends are interesting. You can’t go wrong reading a Joanne Fluke novel.

... have read and reviewed this book regarding the ongoing love triangle of Hannah
While I agree somewhat with others who have read and reviewed this book regarding the ongoing love triangle of Hannah, Mike and Norman, I did still enjoy the story and will likely read more of this series as I get the chance. While it would be greatest to read them in order, which I haven't, there is not a real need to do so. Enjoy them!

I love this whole series and am almost done with it
I love this whole series and am almost done with it. I got hooked on it while reading Diane Mott Davidson's Goldie the Caterer series. It's a challenge to try and figure out the killer before reading it. I like that there is no explicit language or steamy sex scenes, also.

Recipe's getting a bit tired
If you've read previous books in this series then you're not going to find anything new in this one.For me, I think it may be the last one I bother with. The 'relationship' between Hannah, Mike and Norman is beyond a joke now and Hannah's becoming more Jessica Fletcher-esque with each book!
