Well, looking at the web there are a lot of these devices around which do appear to work. However mine doesnt. Actually my suspicion is it maybe the ewelink app or something about my phone. It appears to pair with the device but permanently shows as offline. As there is no information on how it actually works its impossible to investigate any further. The support from ITEAD is not worth having, they send a meaningless reply and close the ticket. As it is possible to flash your own software to these devices it maybe possible to make use of it somehow but as something that works out the box its a 100% fail.

Cheap and works well with Alexa (ONLY AFTER REPROGRAMMING)
Flashed this little switch with custom firmware so it uses the same protocol as a WeMo switch. Now Alexa can turn my lights on and off for just £10 per lamp.Fantastic product, very fast, responsive switching; lights turn on before Alexa even has time to reply 'ok' to my command.And if you don't fancy flashing custom firmware to these devices to use them with your Echo, Itead apparently plan native support with amazon echo within the next month or so.

Great for smart homes
Other half uses this to slowly try new things around the house for a smart home. He's installed one in his office and we've used one in the kids bedroom, so we use the Amazon's Alexa to switch the lights on/off (via voice command). Works like a treat!

Works but needs better support and a better app
When finally set up it does what it is supposed to do, but getting it to register is a nightmare. It comes with no instructions, and the web site needs careful searching to get any sensible help. I have not yet tried it remotely - i.e. a distant location - but it does control OK when in contact with home router. The app is counter-intuitive and takes a lot of understanding with a high learning curve. Time will tell if it is reliable.

Great product!
I have several of these devices, installed at the beginning of 2018, initially they didn't have enough servers to meet demand, but they have now solved this issue and they seem to be very stable these days! Great product!
