Lovely read! Can't put it down!
As someone who was born in Bulawayo but left at an early age, it's an interesting read for me to help try and understand the dynamics of people there. Even if I wasn't curious because of it being my birth city, it is such a good story that I have not wanted to put down!! I took it with me on a recent trip and spent the whole plane ride reading it (I have never been able to do that with any other book before!).

So worth reading.
I've just finished ready my copy of this wonderful book.It takes me back to my childhood in my own Mulberry tree in Harare. The story is so well written that you feel right there with the characters of this storyline. This story highlights some very important issues that need to be addressed, recognised and never to be repeated.A book so worth reading.

Invoked memories
As a native of Zimbabwe and having grown up in Bulawayo the book brought back many memories. I can relate to and identify with many elements in this enjoyable book. I also appreciated how it communicated the complex dynamics of race and culture in Zimbabwe without trying to bring about any resolution.
