Is what the name says - big and loud
Very easy to use - intuitive, with big buttons and big display. One of the relatively few that does Hours:Minutes:Seconds. Feels solid, is loud enough for me to hear in the garden and can be set to less ear splitting when I'm in the kitchen - there are 4 volume levels. Strong magnet plus a stand means it is flexible in terms of positioning. The repeat if you've not responded is useful, especially coupled with the fact that it counts up so you know how much time has elapsed since the alarm went off. Has a handy method of resetting to start the timer where you want to repeat the same time eg check something every 20 mins. Visitors admire it and have gone to buy one themselves. Shame there's no on/off button - it's always on once you remove the plastic from the battery contact, but given it is a square 9v battery that will last much longer than the watch style batteries used in many other timers that's not really an issue. It came with a heavy duty, non rechargeable battery supplied. I love it!

Super Loud great purchase
I can hear it all over the house. ( three stories) Yes, you can turn it down. It's easy to use. Large numbers. This is my second one. I had my first for years and slowly, it became too difficult to press the buttons. I bought this new one and decided to take apart the old one to see what the problem was. I have never done anything like this!!!!!! When it was apart I saw some oil on the buttons. I washed it off and it was like new.

I have had it for a good number of years
I was looking for a new kitchen timer as mine was slowly dying. Even a new battery didn't help. That said, I have had it for a good number of years. I bought it from Tandy... Remember those? Two thing I hate about kitchen timers.1. Most of them use button cells that usually run out of power just when you need them. Do you have spare cells? No! and it's 6 pm on a Sunday.2. The sounders are usually about as loud as a mouse sneezingThis one is different... VERY differentIt runs off a 9V PP3 batteryIt's LOUD!really LOUDFortunately, you can choose between 4 different volume levels.1. Loud2. Very loud3. Incredibly loud, and4. Oh my god, make it stop.It has both magnets and a flip out stand on the rear that actually works to hold the unit up without falling over every time you look at it.The battery cover has a screw to secure it so noones going to steal the battery for their remote control car :o)Oddly, you can set any time you like, including silly ones like 77 hours, 77 minutes and 77 seconds and it will reliably count down from that. All things considered, it was a good buy and would buy it again.
