Morey 44-inch Big Kahuna Bodyboard with Power Rod Stringer

So, this board is marketed to the "big guy" and maybe it needs some more engineering to live up to that market. I think it's an ok board, but after 1 day in 2-3 foot surf, I am pretty sure it will bend in half in larger surf. That said, I don't think it is weaker than any other Morey Boogie board, but it is longer, so I think there is more stress on the middle of the board, especially on a duck dive or a late takeoff.I am a 6'5" 240lb east coast surfer and I rate it four stars because a stronger board would cost more and I think I will get my money's worth from the board as long as I ride it gently.

Bought two of these to replace 20+ year old Morey boards. Overall, pleased with the purchase. The boards are of obvious quality (although they don't make them like they used to). The kids used them again and again while at the beach. One became creased after use, but didn't break. The flexibility of the board allows a better ride. Although far more expensive than the cheap ones you can buy at the beach, they last for many years. Great for experienced teens and adults who appreciate body surfing large waves.

So far so good. Delivery on time. Sturdy and solid board. This DID come with a leash. So no need to buy one.Next Day "try outs"...Board works great. However, the leash can only fit around my wrist and not my upper arm. So, if you prefer to have your leash positioned on your upper arm, get that other leash. Other than that, the 44 is perfect for my 5'11" 180lbs frame. Floats good and rides great.

I bought this a few of weeks ago and I use it 2-3 times a week and I love it. The board handles so much better than my Body Glove Brand and has better flotation than "department store" board. With this board I can make cuts up and down the wave and can spin with ease. I never thought that the kind of board would matter for me, but this board is better than any body board I have ever used.

I never knew that boogie boards came in different sizes I am 6 foot 200 lbs and used to buy the cheap boards for 20 bucks from a big box store they are alright for floating in a pol but this is the real deal I can get up on a knee in a 3 foot surf several magnitudes different than the tiny boards I have used in the past, Morey is an old time reputable manufacturer real nice product.

I like it. Definitely a bigger board for a guy like me, it seems to do really well, I like the way it feels. I did upgrade the wrist strap to a strong one.

Awesome board! I’m a big dude riding little waves down in the Florida panhandle, this board helped me make the most of every wave. Always felt sturdy and stable. Came with a pretty nice swivel leash too. Surfs up big kahunas!

Bought this board for my daughter's boyfriend (who is 6'7"). Looks very strong - doesn't have a pre-installed plug with leash however. Had to order that separately and will have to install it myself - hopefully it won't damage the internal stringer.
