best film ive ever seen, joint fav with interstellar

Unfortunately I bought the wrong disc but as the audio and subtitles were in English it didn't make any difference. Of course we weren't able to read the (what appeared to be) excellent booklet that accompanied the disc.At the beginning there was a low hum on the audio but this disappeared soon after.Unusual story but we enjoyed it

If you want a fast action film with explosions and cheesy plots on how to approach an alien landing then this is not the film for you. If you want a well acted more realistic approach that will have your brain working then you'll enjoy this film.It won't ever have you on the edge of your seat, this film is more about a storyline, it has to be said a pretty simple storyline but you only realise how simple at the end.If I had rated this film 5 minutes after watching it I might have scored 3/4 stars but it is a film that you find yourself thinking about and digesting for a short time afterwards.My problem was, I saw an alien film with an Xmen actor and I expected lots of bangs, explosions and bumble gum viewing, it isn't like that.

The whole premise of the film was new and novel. I liked the idea. However, it was just TOO slow and ponderous at times.Also, the film was quite obviously filmed in drab colours. Lots of scenes shot in almost dark.Sometimes looked like I was watching a film inside a steam filled room. I had my original disk replaced, as I thought it was a pirate copy. Only to find the identical use of film, colour and shading on the replacement. Also looked like it was filmed on an out of focus home camera at times.All of that ruined the film for me. BUT...still a film you should see. It has an unusual outcome. I loved the way the twistwas revealed slowly throughout the film, and then completely revealed at the end, suddenly making the whole thingfit together.

I liked it... alot. Not at all sure on posts requiring action however. That's not to say action isn't a good thing when used appropriately but this movie at no time professed to be an action flick, nor does the book. For those out there who've not yet taken a look at this movie and without spoilers, its a meditation on the human condition and thought provoking re human's understanding of time, so if your after a fast pace and ray guns, this is most certainly not a movie for you.

Leuke film, maar let op! Er staat bij de beschrijving dat er nederlandse ondertiteling zou zijn. Dit is echter niet het geval op de Blu-ray 2D exemplaar!

What with streaming these days being a bit of a crapshoot - i like to own movies that have repeat viewing qualities so i dont have to surf for half the evening wondering which service has the movie i want.Also, I like the picture of Amy Adams because shes lovely.
