Fiesta® 12" Small Bread Tray | Scarlet

I've been wanting Fiesta Ware for many years, but I waited until my kids were grown, thinking they would be too rough on them while doing the dishes. (My Pfaltzgraf set has chips on the edges of every plate and bowl! Grrrrr.)So I'm glad these beautiful Jumbo Cups and matching Bread Trays are still around. I make lots of soups and stews served with a salad or sandwich, and these cups and matching oval plates are a great way to serve them. The Jumbo cup fits on the Bread Tray nicely, and it holds a "healthy" portion of soup, chili or stew without encouraging gluttony. ;-) There's enough room next to the cup for a scoop of cole slaw and a wedge of cornbread, making a nice presentation for chili.I have beach cottage decor, so I ordered the cups and trays in three different colors of blue: Peacock, Turquoise and Lapis. Those three colors look great together, and make for a pretty table. So far, they've proven to be quite durable and haven't sustained any chips on the edges, despite having a small kitchen sink surrounded by a granite counter top. Fingers crossed!

When you go to Outback and they bring you bread on a wooden board... you know you are at Outback. When you go to a fine restaurant in Washington DC and bread is served to the table on a dish that is shaped for the bread, you know you are at a nice place. Of course when they won't even serve the bread and instead make you choose from a basket... you know you are dining with royalty.DC is within a 1.5 hour drive of where I live, but I live in the middle of no-where. I entertain and I wanted to have something that I could serve fresh made bread in an elegant setting. This tray fit the bill perfectly. If you have a standard bread loaf pan it will sit very cleanly in this tray and the edges hold cut pieces vertical. It is a perfect match for finish and color to the rest of the Fiesta setting and looks very understated but stylish on the table. It is a must have for serving breads at dinner.

Very cheery color, great little bread plate or cheese plate or serving plate. Great quality, Fiestaware. The real thing. Happy with purchase.

I got this in bright red and I'm very happy with it. I love Fiesta, but sometimes they can be a little bit clunky and too large for everyday use. This, however, is sturdy and a great serving plate. It says it's for bread, but I've used it to serve strawberries (which all got eaten - it looked amazing with them piled up on it), and it fits well on even an already-crowded table because of the oblong shape.I've also (don't tell anyone) used this to eat off! It worked great for my homemade stir fried vegetables. I put a pile of them on one side of the plate, a pile of rice on the other, and mixed them in the middle. It was room enough for a lot and sturdy enough I could sit down and watch the Food Network without worrying about spilling my culinary masterpiece all over the rug. ;)

This is a very versatile piece! The color is brilliant, the finish is always perfect. You really can't beat Fiesta products. When I purchased the size was not in the title - so I should ad a word of caution here - do not expect this to be the same bread tray you've seen in Macy's or other department stores. This is much shorter. That being said, it's still perfect for so many things. If you're planning on using it for bread you might want to pick up a second one, at this price, why not?? I absolutely love it. I've used it for bread, cookies, asparagus, and about a million other things. The rim is relatively deep, so it holds crumbs or sauces and grease in the tray. You will love this!

The packaging on this dish was amazing! After having 2 arrive in pieces from other shops, I highly recommend this shop and the care they put into getting your product to you as described.

I purchased this bread tray in the color Sunflower, and the color I received was Daffodil. I kept the color I received as the color I wanted was out of stock, and the other three colors of Fiestaware were way more expensive. I like the style of the tray, but it was disappointing to get a color I was not expecting.
