My GX470 OEM rear shocks had run their course after 18 years, but I had a rude awakening when looking to purchase new ones. I read the reviews on these and decided to give them a try. Living in the rust belt, I had to cut off the old shocks in order to install these. The ride quality has been restored and I'm glad I was able to maintain the adjustability to my active suspension. We will see how they hold up over time.

I installed these on my 04 GX470 because I needed to pass inspection.... My old ones were leaking. I was hoping for an improvement in the ride quality but I am still hitting the bump stops over dips, speed bumps, etc. These are cheaper than OEM and after reading the reviews I thought these would workout but I'm not real happy with the performance.After having these on since April I'm not impressed with the results. The rear end slams down after any bump. I replaced the air bags at the same time and there is no issue with the raising and lowering of the GX. The shocks are no good. Vi will be looking to replace these as soon as I can find a replacement

I have a 2006 GX470 and the electric shocks were shot. These had decent reviews and were about 14% of the OEM cost. I like that these came with the bushing and hardware for the top of the shock because many people (myself included) have to cut the nut off the top thereby destroying the original bushing and nut. They’ve only been on for a week, so time will tell. However, they didn’t cause a fault and dash light when plugged in, so that is promising.

Ordered these after looking at the other reviews. Was pleased to see one Toyota stamped shock, and one without any markings sadly... So that's odd. Regardless, they come with everything needed to install and the ride is immensely improved over the old passive KYB shocks I installed when the OEM ones started leaking. Will see how they hold up long term.*August 2021 Update*Took these offroading in CO and they held up well. Currently I just have these on the rear of the truck. For the price, these are a great solution if you don't want to lift the truck or need a stepping stone before doing so for the old worn out suspension. Currently debating getting these for the front too or going Dobinson's 2 inch lift.

No problem to install

I installed these when I was replacing my air suspension. The ride was abysmal and the shocks were like riding on an old haywagon ride. I replaced them with another manufacturer and the ride issues are fixed. I highly recommend looking at other products. These are not worth the time you will spend replacing them.
