These have been so helpful to have in our Dr. Suess themed homeschool classroom. It makes referencing different phonics to the kids easy and they love looking through them to find what they need. I did get them laminated so they would last longer. They are a very good size and easy to ready.

he would listen to me and participate for good 30 min
When it first arrived at my house, I thought my son won't be interested because he's not familiar of the characters on the chart. Well, we have switched to PBS channel and he has been watching Dr. Seuss since then, now when I bring this charts out and lay on the board, he would listen to me and participate for good 30 min. The colors and pictures are very nice. It's easy to read and the words are just the perfect size. He's loving Dr. Seuss so much. I'm pretty sure l, he'll learn more as we go on to our lessons.

Excellent Posters
These are nice heavy paper and are very bright and colorful. I was very impressed with the packaging. I assumed they would be rolled up and that I would have to flatten them. They came in a very large box so they could remain flat. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter is currently using them everyday - voluntarily engaged in reading!
My daughter is nearly four and goes to a Montessori school. She picked up her phonics quite fast, but I wanted something to reinforce her blends and more advanced stuff. Something engaging. These posters came in a HUGE box and are quite large, but that makes them perfect to hang on the wall at eye-level (for her!) and she wanders along them reading out sounds and pointing to pictures that come from her favorite Dr Seuss books. She chooses to do this whenever she is wandering near them and has fun giggling when she looks at the art. Better than flash cards which come out when I want them to - she chooses when and how much to do.I have heard that there are some issues with some of the examples etc, but I'm not a phonics purist - just a parent.

Great for reinforcing phonics
My kids really enjoy Dr. Seuss and since we are working on phonics - I thought I would purchase this. If your child is very familiar with Dr. Seuss, this is a great tool to use when teaching phonics. In fact, many Dr. Seuss books (particularly the rhyming books with plenty of "made up" words) are a great way to teach phonics to children, so the two go hand in hand. You get five large boards: 1) Consonants, 2) Vowels, 3) Beginning Blends, 4) Ending Blends, and 5) DigraphsThe boards feature pictures of various characters from Dr. Seuss books. I like that they feature characters from not just the major books like Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham, but also books like Hop on Pop.The reason for 4 stars and not five is that the boards fall into a trap the fells many phonic programs - and that is trying so hard to stay in a style they ignore the actual phonic sound. For instance the consonant board features and x-ray for the letter "x". While this is appropriate for teaching letters, it isn't for teaching phonics. For simple words, it is best to feature words like "fox" and "box" which have the consonant at the end, but utilize the more appropriate sound. If you teach the phonic sound for "x" from the word "x-ray", the child quickly learns to violate this rule for most of the sounds they encounter. It also falls short on phonics because it features too few sounds. In trying to isolate the sound, it introduces only the hard "c" sound. While this is common in many phonics programs, it still is problematic, especially in today's society when even young children know what a "cell phone" and even the word "city" isn't out of the reach of most 1st graders. So, use it as a great way to reinforce phonics and like I said, I am a big fan of using Dr. Seuss books when teaching phonics. We use Bob Books and throwing in Dr. Seuss definitely helps with the monotony. If a child isn't familiar with Dr. Seuss, some of the boards will be hard to understand. I can see a school teacher using them during Dr. Seuss week, having them in a Dr. Seuss section of a library, or in a home school classroom. I would definitely recommend them, just make sure to tell your child they are just a sample and not complete for phonic sounds.

Cute and good quality
We bought these for my Kindergartener to help her feel more confident in reading. She loves the pictures and practicing the silly diagraphs (why do gh and ph say f??) I carefully bent one into the corner which completed the Dr Seuss feel.
