A real calligraphy pen gives you a thinner or thicker line depending on whether you are using an upstroke or a downstroke. This pen does not do that at all. No matter what you do, you get the same size line. But the ink flows well, it feels good in the hand, and it inspires me to write fancier, even though it doesn't actually help me do that on its own.

I dont normally write a review. This is my first time writing a review I normally call amazon. This time I wanted to write a reviewfor anyone thinking of buying this pen, if you dont take any other review seriously please take mine seriously. Don't buy this pen!!!!. It's a piece of crap. I received this pen two days ago and it has already literally fallen apart, it does write very smoothly but what good is a smooth writing pen if you can't use it DUH!!!!. I am a beginner calligraphy writer, (you know what they say practice makes perfect.) I didn't want to invest in an expensive pen until my calligraphy was better so I brought this pen. My my goal was once I received my pen I would use it for all my wrting to practice. I waited anxiously to receive this pen so I could start practicing well so much for that thought. I am very very disappointed

I searched for a left hand calligraphy fountain pen. Don’t know what I missed but this is not a left hand and is not a fountain pen . It came with 2 ink cartridges.

This pen is great! My brother, who is an avid fountain pen user, recommended this as a first for me. I've used dipping nibs before but I wanted something that would be a little faster to use since I have a lot of letters to write. I highly recommend this!

Solid pen for the price. Ink flows from the nib cleanly.

The pen nibs are frequently clogged when filled with shimmery inks.
