Elegant and Beautiful
I bought the tea kettle because I love the elegant and neutral grey color and it is perfect size for making myself coffee.- handle doesn't burn my hands;- water pours out fast and evenly;- outside and inside is easy to clean;- lightweight without water;- gently whistle, not something that would freak out pets as much as others I have heard.Highly recommend.

Good little kettle. Stylish.
I expected it to be more of a white into a grey fade but it is not. It is light grey to a darker grey fade. But excellent kettle. Great size. Works well.

Defective
This kettle was used to boil water about 3 times! While water was boiling the enamel cracked off . It was very expensive and this has not happened to tea kettles I have had for years!! When I wrote to the manufacturer they responded by saying : “ Of course I don’t know exactly what happened in your kitchen, but the damage shown in your photo happens if a kettle has boiled dry, and someone then puts it in the sink and turns on the water. The extreme temperature change causes the enamel to shatter and pop off, as shown in your photos.” This was not the case. It literally cracked off because I boiled water. They said “Somehow the kettle has been accidentally damaged. Kitchen accidents are not warranty issues. “My recommendation is to buy a tea kettle from another manufacturer and not spend over $60 on a Chantal tea kettle!

What I wanted.
We bought the matching French press. They work well together. Large kettle with the important feature of loud whistle.

Whistling TeaKettle Does Not Whistle
So I've been using this teakettle for a couple weeks now. It's well made, heavy duty and looks attractive. It definitely does not whistle though. The first couple times I used it, you could hear a very faint whistle when the water started boiling but you had to be standing right there in order to hear it. Now it doesn't make any whistling noise at all, which is actually fine with me because I was looking for a teakettle that didn't whistle! I like this kettle but if someone is looking for one with a loud whistle then this might not be the one for you.
