Milestones 90115122 Mosaic Star Stone Kit

Quite easy to do with 6 and 8 year old helping them! They enjoyed it and they came out of mold easily & stayed together well! Only negative is there could me more color variety of glass decoration pieces!

We purchased this to make a grave marker for one of our kitties that passed away recently. For my daughter in particular being able to personalize the marker was important, and we were super grateful to find this on Amazon because our local craft store doesn't carry them anymore. At least, not the cement kits, which we needed so that it would hold up to the elements outside.When it comes to the kit itself, the instructions are very easy to follow, and it does include a few pictures of the individual steps. I would like to draw your and the company's attention to the mold. It is a thinner plastic, that came pre dented. For us, and what we are using this for, the bottom end is doing to be buried into the ground and so it's not going to affect us. But, let's say you're giving this as a gift and it matters to you, FYI that is a possibility. I smoothed out the dent the best I could before we put the concrete solution in, and we pressed the concrete evenly into all sides of the mold, but the plastic definitely wanted to retain the shape of the dent, and we do indeed have a matching dent on the bottom of our stone.I was actually pleasantly surprised with how much glass this came with. For our daughter, because she wanted to draw some things in the center and personalize it to her beloved kitty, we only needed enough to cover the border, but I felt like there was enough to cover the entire surface with some left to spare. The instructions do say the mold is reusable, and it didn't break when we popped out the mosaic stone, so theoretically depending on how much glass you use, if you just did the border with a hand print for example, you could get some concrete from the local craft store and have enough glass to make several of these.We did find, however, when it came to writing the kitty's name on this that the popsicle stick included made thicker and sloppier edges then would allow us to put his whole name on the stone, so we ended up using a wooden kabob skewer, which had a sharper point, and that worked better for us. So, depending on the size of whatever it is you'd be wanting to write on there, you may need to do something similar, find a tooth pick, whatever. I'm not marking down for that because they did provide an item that would work for shorter names and words.Overall, everything in this kit came as it should, it worked well, my daughter is happy with it, and while I wish it were for a better circumstance, for us we had a good experience with this product.

Simple to do

This was an easy kit to use. I had to provide a bowl (it can’t be used after this so I used a dollar store punch bowl) and that’s it. If I had seen the glass that came with it I would have bought some from Michael’s. I was expecting it to be the colors in the picture (more green) but there were a lot of red, blue, and orange also. It definitely looked like scraps with quite a lot of tiny shards and glass dust. I separated out the larger pieces so my kids could help with less risk of getting a splinter.The end result turned out fine. I’m pretty satisfied with this project.

I made these with the grandkids. It was a great project, one of those that is creative and fairly easy to do. Both of my boys made beautiful stepping stones and can hardly wait until we can take them out of the mold. One thing to be aware of is that the glass colors on the package are probably not what you will find inside. Don't get your heart set on their package photo. That said, the glass colors are great and make beautiful designs. We also used glass beads. We had such a great time that we ordered a couple of other sets to try.

Purchased as a birthday gift. Easy to follow directions. Was a fun art activity for an 8 year old to do with adult supervision & help. Turned out great.

I got this for a large dog's paw prints (60 lbs with bigfoot sized feet). I was able to fit in his name, the date and two front paw prints, along with a pretty sizeable border around the edge for the mosaic tiles! The stone is nice, large and sturdy. I'm not a big fan of the colors the mosaic tiles that came with the kit, but I purchased some other glass mosaic tiles to use and it turned out perfectly. The included glass is more clownish colors than I was looking for, which is perfect if you are making this with a child, but for me, I wanted a more finished look. You can tell from the picture the type of mosaic tiles that come with the kit, so it's nothing to fault the kit for. I'm very happy with the kit

I purchased 4 of this item for my children. the product itself is very nice. It is very simple to make and the kidsReally enjoyed themselves in the process. My only complaint is that out of all 4 products, the ONLY colors in the little stones to decorate we received were red white and blue. For all 4 purchases. So that was disappointing that there wasn’t more of a variety in color. According to the pictures posted the decorative stones were a variety of colors, so that was a little misleading. Other than that, this is a great product

This stepping stone kit was exactly as shown and described. It was complete with everything stated. The mould was made well enough to be reusable. It was shipped in a timely manner and arrived in good condition.

I received the kit in the mail on time, but the mold was broken, I had to use duct tape to fix.

Grand kids loved them

Product came broken. Dust was everywhere. Total mess and disappointment!
