Worthless on all but new tarp!
The tape seems strong, but if your tarp or garage in a box is even slightly eroded/ checked by the sun, this product won't work at all, and won't conform to the surface. My tarp looked only barely eroded as in the first two pictures, but the tarp tape simply fell off even after being washed with soapy water, rinsed, dried and heated with a heat gun. 3M CONTACT cement spray, however, adhered superbly even with old scraps of tarp. Save your money (I had 4 rolls of tarp tape/ $80 which Amazon won't refund because I was 8 days past my 30 day window) and get contact cement!

Not for poly tarps
Maybe this stuff works on vinyl....but I tried sun, hair dryer, and heat gun to get this stuff to join two Costco 12x15 poly tarps.... the tap came apart easily in the first mild storm. I do not think it is sticky at all as compared to duct tape .... but we all know that duct tape does not weather well and the sun will melt the adhesion of duct tape in many applications. If you Google this topic...you will find that folks are having a hell of a hard time finding an adhesive that will REALLY bond poly tarps. I also tried a hot glue gun and Gorilla glue ... no good. This poly stuff is just so slick the glues will not adhere through a mild storm. My next experiment on joining two poly tarps will be with an inexpensive plastic rivet gun with some species of JB Welder rubber glue ... wonder if it will hold up to a few good Pacific Coast storms? This tape sure did not !!! (Tried the clear and colored versiions of this product ... same bad result on poly tarps)

Good!
The adhesion on this tape is very good. So far, the two pieces have not separated. This tap is very plyable and does not have any problems bending.

Super strong. It’s like an extra strong duct tape. Worked great holding two tarps together.

Might be my fault for not scrupulously cleaning the area before applying the tape.
