90 Piece Tegu Classroom Magnetic Wooden Block Set, Tints, 1-99 years old

We ordered 130 classroom piece for our 3yr old for Christmas. This was the first time we made a purchase from this company but we were really excited to do so given its mission and the quality and innovation of its products. When we initially received our package, we noticed that the outer box appeared to have been resealed and the inner Tegu box had been cut open with the blocks and accessories just inside with no packaging. It may have occurred as part of a customs check but its unclear what may have occurred prior to its delivery. Since this was a present for our 3yr old for Christmas, we contacted the company to explain the situation. In particular, we were unsure whether the item shipped may have been an inadvertent return/used item sent to us when we ordered a new one.The response was immediate from a member of the Tegu team, Brandon. Brandon was extremely helpful and understanding. Brandon was able to come up with multiple options for us in resolving the issue. Brandon's response time/replies were immediate and professional. Brandon worked with other Tegu team members to get another item out to us that we were able to gift for Christmas. This was all within 24 hours of the initial contact during the busy holiday season.We were extremely surprised by the high level of customer service and how Tegu went above and beyond to ensure satisfaction and that our little one would enjoy opening the present in time.Tegu definitely has a repeat customer in our family and we are excited to continue to support this business by adding more of its products to our collection! Our little one had a wonderful Christmas and couldn't stop playing with these!

Great building blocks for creative minds. Excellent quality.

These blocks have kept my kids engaged for years. I bought our first 42 piece set when my oldest was 4. We recently purchased this 90 piece set (almost 5 years later) because my kids still go to these blocks as a toy of choice several times a week even though they have tons of other nice toys to play with. They are way overpriced in my opinion, but they are quality built. The paint has never flaked. The wood is smooth. The magnetism is strong.

This one is expensive for sure. We agonized over the choice for a while. It was a family investment for my 3 and 6 year old. The great thing is that these get played with again and again. My kids do a lot of different things with these, from houses, to garages, animals, monsters, robots, vehicles. The set finally has enough blocks for us for them to play interactively on bigger structures. We avoid plastic products with batteries that do little for the kids imagination, and are also not good for the planet. We saved instead, and made this one of our big sets.

These were a suggestion from a mommy group and I decided to give them a try. My 20-month-old son loves Magna-Tiles Clear Colors 100 Piece Set so I know that he loves to build things and he understands magnetic toys.This is our first and only set of wooden blocks and they were a great hit with my son and his 3-year-old neighbor AT FIRST. I like the box that they come in because I can store the blocks after each playdate. The quality is really exceptional and the colors are rich and gorgeous.It's been a little over a month and I've taken a point off my review because my now 21-month-old son isn't really into them. Also, my husband finds it really frustrating that unlike Magna-Tiles, the number of ways you can magnetically connect the blocks are finite. You have to play around to figure out what parts are magnetic and what parts are not.I DO NOT recommend these unless you've tried them out before in person and you already know you or your kid likes them. If you paid full price, it's a long of money to risk on a toy that your child might not like or understand.You can get TWO Magna-Tiles 100 piece sets for the price you'll be shelling out for 130 pieces of Tegu blocks.

love the blocks will buy more when on sale worth the money

I love the tegu blocks! My daughters have been acquiring them little by little and as a Christmas gift I decided to splurge and get this set for them. We all love them!! The quality is great, the colors are nice! I highly recommend.The only thing is that they are pricey $$$

Given the price of these things, I could never justify keeping them for my daughter. They are advertised 1-99 years old and my daughter recently turned two. The blocks only have internal magnets on certain parts of the blocks, so they do require some playing around to see which blocks have magnets where. The issue my daughter had was the opposing magnetic poles that would obviously cause the blocks to repel away from one another when not stacked or connected correctly. There is no way I can convince my 2 year old to keep playing with them when she can't figure out how to flip them around or stack them differently when this issue happens. Obviously they can work well for kids who understand this concept and don't mind it as an obstacle, but they don't connect as smoothly as like magnatiles or other popular magnet toys. I also want to say that I work as an instructional designer, and although I am not a product designer or launch person, I will say this product feels like it puts the aesthetic and market appeal first, rather than the user who needs to function with it. Again, this is just not for little kids who want to play with blocks. Maybe a better fit for ages 4+

The blocks were not in a n organized box as shown they were all dumped in a larger box. Its ok I guess as I also ordered the case to put them in.

Dieser Tegu Baukasten ist so toll! Allerdings ist es gar nicht so einfach damit zu bauen, wie man denkt, es erfordert schon Kreativität und sowohl als Erwachsener, aber auch die Kleinen, testen und probieren sich aus! Es macht Spaß und unsere Maus (2,5 Jahre) spielt so gern damit. Seit Weihnachten holt Mausi es jeden Tag raus und es wird in ihrer Phantasiewelt sowohl mit Holzfiguren, Schleichtieren und zB auch Paw Patrol Figuren gut bespielt. Total schön

At approximately 350+ SGD, I had high hopes for the set. The set was delivered with obvious defects such as magnets coming out from the bricks, cracked pieces. All still sealed in its original packagingReturned immediately and now looking for a different brand

OMG- this is just so beautiful, apart from being fairtrade, supporting a community, its beautifully made, you know the colours are non toxic, so if chewed it wont harm, the magnetics are strong, the longer pieces could do with more magnets to have more joining points, but its truly a wonderful present, this pack worked out great value especially as it was £30 cheaper then current price, I bought it for my little boys 1st birthday, and all my kids even my 7 year old loves playing with it, the blocks connect together beautifully there are 16 wheels enough for a number of fantasy cars.....the only downside is that the company sent it out with no exterior packaging, so my beautiful box was damaged when it arrived, so you will need a storage box to put it in, I bought a tots little truck walker wobbler to store it all in and it fits beautifully.
