Our neighborhood recently had an influx of alley cats. I don’t know where they all came from, but they seem to love my house, especially the outside window ledges. I don’t mind them coming around and don’t want to call the pound, I just wanted a way to keep them off my windows. I tried spraying perfume or essential oils, but that only worked for a week or so, then they’d be right back.I ordered this out of desperation. It looked like it would deter the animals from climbing on my window ledges, but without hurting them. The spikes are quite long, but there are also smaller spikes, so there’s really no way for a little paw to avoid them. I also like how easy it is to adjust the length of these spike pads. They are snappable, if that makes sense. That makes them pretty easy to use.Helpful tip: I wasn’t sure how to attach the pieces to my window ledges, which are brick. Online it suggested construction adhesive, but I didn’t want something so permanent, so I suggest adhesive foam squares, that way it’s not going to leave adhesive markings on the brick. I hope that I can take the spikes down once the cats have learned that this is a no-climb zone.

Bought these spikes to deter a neighborhood Tom cat from jumping on my outside windowsill and harassing my cat. Worked like a charm! He jumped up on the spikes with full force, made a blood curdling yowl, and ran away. He bent them a little with his weight, see picture, but I have no doubt they will.still work. I stuck them to brick with gorilla tape. They have held up through snow and 100° heat.

Should have grabbed a pic before I took the nest down, but the point is- these spikes don't work. Within 2 days of installing them, mama bird had built her nest again.. right on top of the spikes. She just crammed extra moss/ straw/ dirt down in between the spikes and built up her nest a bit more than usual, and went about her day. I would not purchase these as they do not work.

Don't leave even 2 inches uncovered, lol they will build in that spot.Great product, super easy to install

I should have done more research.My house is stucco and you need to secure these with nails or screws.The birds just knocked them off the window ledges and the pillars and made a terrible mess.Ended up having to hire a bird removal company. ☹️

These were just what I was looking for. Two years in a row we have had some horrible snake climb the tree outside the window and eat the poor little baby birds in the birdhouse. No more of that! Next spring I have high hopes that any new families will be safe and secure with these spikes tacked onto the front and roof of the birdhouse. I was able to carefully saw some rows apart to better create fortifications in the smaller spaces.. Just watch out as I punctured my own finger twice on them and it hurt like heck. Watch out Mr. Snake.

I have a black wrought iron railing birds loved to use as a potty.I attached these with zip ties it was easy and fun. It camouflaged in pretty well. And works great
