Saved me from a serious problem
I found that my engine rubber mounts had failed. I was able to use these to strap my engine (A 600 cc twin cylinder diesel down sufficiently firmly to drive the car down the road and onto a trailer. I am sure that I could have driven it the mile or so to the garage. While I would not recommend this as standard practice it will get you out of trouble and it does prove how good they are.
