I like and love everything of SON OF GOD AND HIS LOVE FOR HUMANITY

I store Halley's Bible Handbook under my Bible in my night table stand. Although this is heavy, it is packed with information to make my Bible readings make more sense. It gives me the background of the times; a synopsis or an interpretation of each chapter; archaeological findings; and a long appendix of church history along with interesting facts. The language and information is easy to understand, and is modern. I love this edition!

A gave my own copy away a few years ago and decided to get another one because I always found it so useful as a general reference book. It is now a classic and so useful for background reading. It is full of useful bits of information, although it doesn't pretend to be a detailed academic commentary.

I bought this specific one as a gift, for a new Christian who was having a hard time navigating the Bible.......I have always kept one near to my books of value, Bible being "Ultimate #1!".... But my newly born sister was not willing to dig, dig, dig daily! Ya, know.... The go to Church on Sunday, grab a few cool verses that fit life off facebook, or Bible apps, and rarely spend over an hour in the word a WEEK! .....As for usefulness, priceless *Even as the time wrote, many things have come about since the 50's 60's.... And if you have ANY person that is hungry for God's Word. *Of course a Bible is sufficient! This is just a great post-gift if already have Bible... Because, well *It is self-explanitory "A Bible hand-book"!....... Great gift to others and yourself! Many gems of statistics, dates, explanations of main thrust of each 66 books of The Bible, and so much more! Buy! Buy! Buy! As our Biblical freedom will be halted in the nearing future....I would rather Prep with a Duffle bag of Bibles, than a duffle bag of food, suplies and defence items!... Both are worthy of doing. Yet I allow the 1st to take presidence... love you all!....

This book is very informative, has a lot of imagery and the information is organized very well. Great book for anyone what in-depth historical information about the bible.

Amazingly this book was first written over 100 years ago, edited and updated by generations of the author it is an essential bible companion. Clear and usefull itnterpretation of the scriptures also many otstanding pictures of biblical locations as well as background details.This book brings the bible to life.
