This is a patent herbal remedy based on the ancient recipe Er Chen Tang (Two Cured Decoction) originally appeared in Imperial Grace Formulary of the Tai Ping Era (Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang), that is primarily used to resolve phlegm by drying internal dampness and regulating the function of the spleen and the stomach in cases of damp-phlegm syndrome. I take Congex at the first signs of bronchial / phlegm issues to shorten the duration
I've found many Chinese herbal formulas are truly beneficial for various maladies. This holds true with Congex aka er chen wan. I routinely buy this in our local chinatown but it's nice to know it's available here on Amazon as well. A great combination is to take Congex with Rhemmania Six flavor tea pills and if necessary, along with a Chinese herbal cough syrup with honey and loquat if needed. Definitely recommend and would definitely buy again, Congex is a staple we keep in our medicine cabinet. Made in China. Dosage is 12 pills, 3 times a day, 16 doses per bottle. Be aware contains liqorice root which is relevant with hypertension or hypertension medications.
