Michigan Motorsports H4 Male to H13 9008 Female Socket Converter Cable Pigtail Harness Adapter

Could have spliced together my own connectors, bought pig tails if needed. This is cleaner and No splices! Solid!

I bought aftermarket JW Speaker headlights for my 06 TJ and needed a wiring harness adapter from the original H4 to the new H13 plugs. This harness has great quality and is perfect plug and play. It is a little more $$ than other brands but there was no cutting or trimming required, clicked and locked into place. Definitely recommend this product.

The harness adapter is pretty well made and hopefully will not allow water to sip in the connector. But as far as fitment, very well fit. No complaints.

These are nice connectors at a decent price, however there are some drawbacks to them.I used these to install some JW Speaker 8700 J2's on a Porsche 944. While the connectors and wires themselves are quality, the H4 side does not fit snug in the socket. I read this from another reviewer and knew I'd be modifying them. You can use them just fine as is but they may unexpectedly unplug themselves. I'm also not a fan of the wire loom, nothing on the manufacturer as they did a good job with it and even used clips to keep it from coming off but I just find it cheap looking/bulky.To make these ideal for my application I instead cut off the H4 connection and soldered the connection directly to the Porsche harness connection, removing an unnecessary ( and additional) plug. Used an expandable PET wire loom and secured it in place with marine heat shrink. Had I put these in any other car I would've just wired the H13 directly into the car with the same process. The H4 connection just isn't reliable being a loose connection. Although it looks well made. The H13 fits perfectly though.In short: Great H13 side, H4 is loose/unreliable. A zip tie would be the quick solution, but cutting it off and soldering it in is your best bet for reliability.(Photo: Adapter plugged into headlight before modifying, fresh out of the package.)
