Those s the second book in the Galactic Kings series. Poppy is a highly gifted scientist with multiple degrees. She never quite fit in on earth because she was always younger and smarter than everyone around her. She and Mal were on an experimental test flight when something horrible went wrong and they ended up on the other end of the Galaxy . Poppy was captured by a and scientist and altered with alien wolf DNA and had to be transported to Delmar for treatment there her life completely changes. Brodin is a wolf shifter and Emperor of his people he agrees to help the infected Earth female but he vows not to become distracted. All his energy must be centred on saving his people from his evil father. As poppy explores her new abilities and heals Brodin sees his smart, wonderful and amazing she is and her powers are boarding on myths of his people. When he stops fighting the pull between them his life takes on new meaning. Together they explore their passion, respect for each others strength and intelligence grows and they works together to defeat a very dangerous enemy! This boom was so fabulous. He takes her to his planet to help ease her through her transition after she's held captive by the bad guys and experimented on. She's...well, she's crash-landed on an alien planet, been abducted and experimented on, and then rescued, and she's holding it together pretty well, all things considered.It doesn't hurt that Brodin's sexy and wild and she kiiiiiinda likes that. It also doesn't hurt that she's developing abilities that are coming in very handy in the fight against Brodin's father. (Although, just to be confusing, Papa Sarkany isn't nearly the monster you'd think he'd be, all things considered.) Huh. Maybe I should say the fight against Brodin's father's warlord, instead.Anywho. A nasty warlord with an affinity for poisons, an ability that's been lost for ages, a lot of steamy looks and even more steamy kisses, and a human woman finding her way on an alien world. This is a combo review because a) read them back to back and b) tired and it's been a long week. I liked the setup to this 'verse but I didn't realize it's more of a spin-off to another series. As a result, there's vague references to that series that might help fill in the worldbuilding a bit more. In any event, I'm kind of middle of the road on these right now because I'm not sure what's going on. It feels slightly unfocused, in that I don't know much about the Big Bad in this series, and what I do know doesn't make alot of sense.As for the individual romances, they're also very similar. Physically the heroines are opposite, but they both struggled to belong on Earth until they get to this new 'verse. Then suddenly they're exhibiting amazing, one of kind powers (of course), and they're hooking up with the leaders of two different planets, who also happen to be half-brothers.I don't know, I think it has potential but it's like that pretty apartment with a great view that has one chair and a lamp for decoration. It's sparsely furnished. But I'm sold on the view, just and I'm waiting for the next delivery to see if it turns into a comfy place to hang out for a long time or if I'm just going to be staring out the window at what could have been.Aaaaaannnd I'm done lol.

This is a story about a woman who was infected by an alien virus from a wolf that is changing her DNA. She is sent to the planet that this wolf originates since they know what to do to help her. The abilities she develops has not been seen for centuries. She is a strong female characters so she insists on helping to save this planet against a warlord hell bent on destroying it. This develops a relationship with the Emporer. Good read.

Poppy was the chief scientist on an Earth ship that crashed on an alien planet. She survived the crash only to be tortured and experimented on, injected with Damar blood - alien werewolves. Brodin is the emperor of the planet and her protector. Caring for his fellow werewolves is all he has time for but she intrigues and arouses him. Poppy isn't a full shifter but now has enhanced senses, strength and a unique ability to calm other wolves. As Poppy recovers and adjusts to her new abilities, she helps Brodin and his people fight their enemy. Brodin and Poppy have great sexual chemistry, work well together and balance each other. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I am so glad that I found this series. I enjoyed book one with Rhain and Mallory crazy romance. This is book two Emperor Brodin has taken the female human Poppy to help her heal since she was changed and harmed by a deranged scientist in book one. As Brodin helped Poppy it became apparent that she is special. Although the human females cannot return home, they are developing talents to help the two brothers win the fight against their dad, the self proclaimed king, who wants his sons to be a part in his dictatorship. The story itself is interesting, funny, and Poppy is quite smart. Read On!

Anna Hackett never disappoints and in her second book of Galactic Kungs, we find Dr Poppy Ellison struggling with her new situation. Having been infected with the Damari strain, her body is finding it hard to adjust. New sensations; new feelings and new abilities make it difficult for the staid doctor.Added to this, Poppy is finding her relationship with the handsome Emperor of the Damari shifters somewhat strained. But both have to put their feelings aside when Candela, under the Emperor's father's orders, starts taking Damari hunters for experiments. This book offers action, adventure and romance as Poppy proves to be invaluable to the Damari people and the Emperor Brodin... Great read!! Could not out it down. Glad I have retired so I can have a lie in after a late night reading!! You have done it again Ms. Hackett!! Can't wait for the next book in this stunning series!!

Slightly obvious in some parts but a great read. Always been Para Rom girl but thoroughly enjoying the Sci-fi roms. I came across the Galactic Gladiators in Kindle unlimited and thought I would give it a whirl and wow now hooked. There is enough action and drama to have you on the edge of your seat. I love all the characters. I have learned with Anna's writing there is good and evil and no inbetween. When Bodin did what he did when he was under the influence (no spoilers here) I jumped up in shock and horror. Looking forward to the next episode in May.

Amazing second book of the series, Brodin and Poppy was perfection, and as always such an intriguing storyline. Loved getting to know this new world Anna created, watching Poppy flourish and Brodin grow alongside her. Perfection. Can't believe we have to wait until May for the next installment! Cannot wait for the the captains story!

I always seem to say the same thing when writing these things, but it was entertaining and fun, action packed and I loved the characters awaiting the next instalment in May
