Antithesis to all other books on the menopause- and I LOVED it
I really enjoyed this book and actually came to it through a similarly nerdy obsession with whales like the authors- hear me out, now. This is an articulate, impassioned and intelligent book that left me feeling really much more positive about menopause. I particularly loved the killer whale content (it is relevant) and my favourite part was the encounter with Granny, the J pod matriarch. I also found the section on difficult relationships with the author's mother really moving. This book will not 'prescribe' solutions to your menopause symptoms- is a properly feminist approach to taking care of and control of our own bodies. Thank you, Darcey for an informative read- I am already looking up your other books.

Waste of time...
It was ok abit of a slog to read.i don’t feel half the things that she writes about.its all about how she feels in an artsy hippy kind of way,not really that helpful to be honest.as my gran would say a load of clap trap.

Menopause as a more meaningful transition than we’ve been told
I just have to say thank you to Ms. Steinke for writing this. It is such a great book, well researched and full of personal reflections and valuable insight into how to envision menopause more holistically, as a valuable and important life transition, not something to be feared or miserable about. Very grateful to be reading it right now. Just what the Dr ordered ☺️
