An Important Message About Self Worth and Sexual Manipulation
The movie in general (the acting, the dialogue, etc.) wasn't perfect, but neither is a single human being on planet Earth; what should be paid attention to is the meaning and the message behind the story. Each day, thousands of people are taken advantage of and treated as if they were worthless and replaceable, which leads to numerous awful things. This movie brings light to that awful truth and teaches the viewer an invaluable lesson: There is no price that can be placed on human beings.

Real
Maybe not the greatest production, but realistic. The two good guys didn't exactly know what they were doing. They seemed to be going in circles. But they did something. It wasn't big, they didn't stop a huge ring, but it a was something. To the few girls they helped, it was everything.Small steps in a large world are large steps in someone's small world.Good show.

Your hunky For King and Country character being his loving self under frightening circumstances.
Admit it. The star is gorgeous. And kind. And a hero. About human trafficking into prostitution of two native Hispanics who thought their new lives in the US would be paradise. Having planned on doing honest work (once they have entered the country illegally) the two women quickly realize the horrible endgame prepared for them. But not to worry. Our gorgeous, hunky hero takes care of it. Show it to your teenagers.

Moving, Heavy, and Hopeful
The human trafficking subject matter is very difficult and tragically sad. This movie was well done and handles this subject with the seriousness it deserves and requires while demonstrating how easy it is for each one of us to justify our decisions. The movie also shines a spotlight on the "voice inside us", our conscience gnawing at us, when we partake in justifying the wrong decision. I appreciate that it offers redemption and hope which is more than encouraging. I also appreciate that it is not too graphic so that the PG-13 audience can see this movie. It is obvious what is happening behind closed doors, and, yet, prime-time tv gives us more graphic scenes.I feel that our younger teenage boys, who will all too soon be young men, benefitted from seeing this movie. To put things in perspective, a show like Criminal Minds is much more gruesome and graphic in all ways than this movie. This movie treated characters with respect and it opened up conversations with my sons. They shared situations their friends talked about and I don't think they would've discussed those without seeing the movie. I was grateful how open they were after seeing this movie with me. It was reassuring to remind them how important each and everyone of us is and that none of us is property for another's use or pleasure. The main character, James, is a tough kind of guy who spoke volumes that I could not have spoken, nor could have my husband, to my sons. It has not ever been lost on me that many men perpetuate this problem by being customers. I knew of men who traveled to other countries to partake in prostitution. The acting was sincere and believable. The only parts that were a bit glossed over were Antonia's emotional responses to her pain. In fairness, the movie was not long enough to fully detail her pain. She was strong and it was evident that her faith and love for her sister kept her going. James' fatherhood, in a complex way, clashed into the "voice inside him" and it was beautiful how his being a father helped him to face his decisions and see them in a different light. I also appreciate how the hotel owner held James accountable.I am glad I saw this movie. I am even more glad that it was made. Thank you. I am also very happy that at the end of the movie we are given resources to look into so that we can find our own ways to combat this tragic problem. Because of this movie, I discovered eyeheartworld. No matter anyone's opinion on "the oldest trade in the world", it cannot be disputed that any form of slavery is intolerable. It strikes me as even worse in our country based on our US history. We do not know enough about this problem in our vast country. I appreciate this movie as a beginning of a much larger spotlight on this tragic issue.

For King and Country Joel Smallbone - Great talent and actor
This is a good movie. Be prepared to cry. It is about one man's struggle to save two sisters that he has unknowingly smuggled into the United States in the back of a truck he was hired to delivery to some shady individuals. He becomes curious on the trip and opens the truck box car and finds the girls - who have been promised a waitress job to pay off their fathers debt. Unbeknownst to the girls at the time, they will become the victims of the sex trade - human trafficking. Although the driver falls in love with the older sister during their trek across the country and he goes to some unbelievable feats to rescue her and her sister. It is a really an inspirational movie and I liked how the older sister never lost her faith despite the horrendous abuse she suffered. The movie does a good job portraying the human trafficking and sex slave trade but in a tasteful way that although gets the point across it is no way offensive and obscene. For instance, a child would not pick up on the subtlesness of those scenes. This story also believe or not has a happy ending for the couple and shows going forward the good works God has planned for them - despite hardship they have to overcome.During the ending credits the song "Priceless" is playing. Come to find out this is sung by the male lead actor, Joel Smallbone, and is on his feature album "Run Wild. Live Free" by his band "For King and Country". I am now a fan and purchased some of their music digitally and some in CD formats; and I purchased their live concert. This is how impressed I was with the quality of this movie and likeability of the male lead actor - Joel Smallbone; what an incredible voice and talented actor. The male lead is the lead singer Joel Smallbone is in the Australian Christian music group - "For King and Country". Fantastic film, but not sure dvd is genuine
This was a brilliant film with a truly outstanding performance by Joel Smallbone of the band for King and Country. It really highlights the awful and horrifying topic of girls being trafficked. The problem is, the dvd has none of the bonus extras which should have included a performance by for King and Country of the wonderful song Priceless. also interviews, and deleted scenes, etc. This has lead me to wonder if this is a pirate copy? It looks genuine and cellophane sealed. So very disappointed about this. The 2 stars are for this reason, but to be clear the film itself is BRILLIANT.
