Play Great Golf

A truly excellent book. I am surprised it is not more widely known about. It describes a very simple way of playing based on doing five basic things on each swing to get a productive shot. Palmer actually uses the method that his father who was a club pro taught. He debunks the 'perfect swing theory' and encourages you to do your own thing based on his five basics. I often come back to this book when things go wrong and would put in the same class as Tommy Armour's outstanding book 'How to play your Best Golf all the Time'. The videos that are based on the book are excellent as well if you can find copies. Highly recommended.

I've read almost every golf instruction book that I could find at Barnes and Noble stores, and on the internet over the past 40 years. Arnold Palmer's book, Play Great Golf,is by far the best available today of all of them. Play Great Golf is a top notch 5-star read for any golfer, novice beginner to professional. Put Hogan's book, Five Lessons, together with Palmer's book, Play Great Golf, and you will then have the most correct fundamentals of golf in your memory cells from which to draw upon each time that you stand over a golf ball with a club in your hand whether on the practice range, or the golf course.

This may be the best golf instructional ever. Combine this with his videos and you are good to go!!!
