Although this type of item runs very pricey if you want all cotton, this pad is well made and worth it if you sleep hot and want 100% cotton. It was well packaged and looked fine but being my own paranoid self I washed with hot water. I'm allergic to dust anyway, so all my bedding has to go through this eventually. It washed well. Tried drying on delicate but it would have taken 9 years to dry lol. I just used the reg drying cycle 2 or 3 times (not highest heat setting but the reg heat for like a load of tshirts) ...still took a while but it was perfect. My mattress is not super crazy thick....just avg...so I figured slight shrinkage was not a problem for me anyway/ would make it fit even better. Fit well. Very soft. Well made! Worth it since the ones in stores have polyester fill (only cotton top) for almost the same price!!

Let me tell you, this mattress protector came in a box so beautiful I didn’t even want to take it out! It was wrapped like a present and what a present it was. Affordable, Organic cotton mattress protector was exactly what I was looking for. The pockets are really deep for if you have a mattress topper that is thick. It has a little bit of a smell when I first took it out, but more of a cardboard box smell so I did quick wash and it was perfect. It’s keeping my son cool at night as he sleeps really hot (also using wool mattress topper). Works like a charm. This one is not waterproof but I think it’s water resistant. They do make one that is water proof with pretty good material (I think) but I wanted it to be as cool as possible

this came in some nice packaging and did have a smell to it but i wouldn't call it a badsmell...1 cycle through the wash and dryer and all was well scent wise...i did dry the pad on high and it shrunk some but fit the bed perfectly!i have had no bunching problems that others have noted but my bed is very firm...mileage may vary with a softer/pillow top type bed.while expensive, i feel it's worth it because of the materials and comfort

The package from Bioweaves arrived on time and I have never seen anything like it. Nothing goes to waste. Box is recyclable cardboard, no plastic wrap on the mattress cover but rather a cotton sack (now my mini poodles toy bag) and all tied up in a beautiful cotton ribbon. The mattress cover is beautiful sewn, fits perfectly our queen mattress and laundered very well. This item is expensive, but well worth the money. I was unable to get it in white, but the shade of cream I chose is the most elegant rich shade and the cotton has a satin sheen to it that is truly lovely. I will definitely purchase from this company again.

This is really the perfect natural solution to for a mattress protector. I am not expecting it to provide waterproof protection, I've traded that for having something that is chemical free. The feel of it, and the quality of construction, seems luxurious and fitting for the price.HOWEVER, there was one problem for which I knock of a star. The moment I removed it from the box I was hit with an overpowering "perfume" odor. It took me a little while to place the smell but it is something like I have smelled in certain hotel rooms. This was a major problem for me as I am quite sensitive to odors and could not imagine having this inches from my face all night every night. Not to mention that I don't know what the source was, and for anyone ordering an organic cotton mattress pad you can assume that there is a concern about the composition of everything used to make the product. So what was sprayed on it? I don't know. I washed it twice (cold water setting) and dried it (air dry then an hour on extra low heat) and the smell has been reduced considerably, though it is still present.I'm going to guess, since this was delivered to me without any plastic wrap, that this odor was added to mask any other smell the cotton might absorb on the way to my house. But wow, for me, what a disappointment. I would have rather it was wrapped in plastic.

This has to be one of the best items I’ve ever bought on amazon. So luxurious. It’s 100% cotton and beautifully crafted.The shrinkage is very minimal. It’s the first mattress pad I can say that about.I absolutely love the quality. Nothing like the poly blends. I also love the side walls. They are 20” wide and also made of cotton. They go easily under my mattress and don’t ride up when using my adjustable bed.I am enjoying the cool feel of the material. They will not cause me to over heat.This is the real thing. So glad after all these years to find a truly all cotton mattress pad!
