Tailoring (Singer Sewing Reference Library)

This excellent book will explain in detail, every aspect of tailoring to the sewer/beginning tailor. The pictures are clear, and concise, and though the book may show emphasis on tailoring a woman's jacket and coat, these same principles can be applied to menswear as well. Very thorough, from pattern choice, choosing fabric, interfacing, shoulder pads, pad stitching, tools, you name it, this book has it all!! Highly recommended!

This book is fantastic. I am taking a tailoring class this semester and this was the textbook that the teacher required as optional because I was nearly impossible to find and the campus bookstore did not have it in stock nor planned on offering it. I was glad to see that Amazon offered it for the bargain price of $0.99, which is a huge steal. The book is really great for teaching professional tailoring techniques. Easy to understand and the step-by-step pictures are great.

Love this book!Super easy explanations and photos for tailoring. Very up to date. No pics from the '70's please!It gives you three options to do a task. Hand stitch, machine stitch, and a blend of the two. It assumes you already know how to sew. Perfect for Costumers!

This book is a good way to start learning or revisit key strategies of tailoring a garment! Good tips and pictures to help guide you through the process.

Excellent book and it should be in every sewers library. Very easy to understand and follow along with great pictures as well. One cannot go wrong with this book.
