Worked better than expected for the price and allowed me to capture some great footage under my microscope. I took a gamble on buying this instead of paying for a proper (much more expensive) microscope camera and am glad I did. There is a bit of a knack finding the sweet spot getting the camera lens in the correct place but when it’s there results are great and I was able to combine microscope settings with the zoom feature on the phone camera to get a picture that looked better than viewing directly through the eyepiece.

Using this on a binocular microscope the results were... OK. Extremely hard to get lined up and square on to the eyepiece - it felt like a fraction of a mm either way was all or nothing. Consistency was not happening. Results were very vignetted and hit-or-miss with focusing and framing. Sometime it was good-ish, other times less so. I've attached a few pics both uncropped and cropped so you can draw your own conclusions. Phone used: Zflip 3 Microscope: Swift SW380T

Spot on. Used this with my iPhone 16 pro max and Celestron telescope. Great results once all set up.

Did not fit my phone. Even with the holder part as low as possible on the microscope, the camera was nowhere near the eye piece, and even if the height could have matched, the camera lens on the phone would still not have lined up regardless of how much it was twisted as it was more for a camera in the center (tried with Motorola g82, phone camera on upper left of the back).

Too fiddly to adjust, especially with low eye relief eyepieces and phones with multiple lenses. Can't recommend this unfortunately.

Seems reasonable quality for the money, can be a bit fiddly to set up properly but once set up it takes good photos .

I found this very difficult to use to the point where I didn’t bother.

Great quality, easy to set up and great results

This is a microscope phone mount with an integrated WF16x eyepiece, and out of the box it feels more serious than the usual plastic clip adapters. The one piece printed head and aluminum alloy frame give it a sturdy, lab style look. It is clearly aimed at people who want to capture what they see through the scope without juggling separate eyepieces and phone brackets. I used it with a standard 23.2 mm eyepiece tube, where it drops in like a regular eyepiece. Once seated, you just bring the spring phone clamp over and grip the phone in place. The clamp range covers common phone sizes, and the mounting slots give some room to center the phone camera over the eyepiece. The integrated WF16x eyepiece is a smart touch because it delivers a wide field view and comfortable eye relief without needing the original microscope eyepiece. The aluminum chassis keeps things steady while focusing and tapping the screen to shoot photos or video, and the one piece head design should help keep optical alignment consistent. For classroom or hobby use, it makes it much easier to share what is on the slide. There are a few things to be aware of. Since it is sized for 23.2 mm tubes, it is not going to fit larger eyepiece holders without an adapter, so you need to check your scope first. Aligning a multi camera phone still takes some careful adjustment so that the primary lens sits right over the eyepiece, and very large phones near the top of the stated range will use most of the clamp travel. Overall this is a well built and focused tool for anyone with a compatible microscope who wants to record or share views through the eyepiece. It suits teachers, students, and home lab users who prefer a stable, integrated eyepiece and phone mount instead of juggling multiple separate parts every time they want a quick photo.

I can't believe it. After years of fiddling around with poorly designed phone mounts that barely work, or don't work at all, I've finally found the one. This Starboosa phone mount is it. Right out of the box, I could tell that it's a quality item. There weren't any loose dangling plastic parts hanging off of the mount. Everything is where it should be. It took me all of about a minute to take the mount out of the box, stick an eyepiece into the Twist-Lock eyepiece ring, attach my phone, and put the whole setup into my telescope diagonal. While it comes with two additional larger sized mounting rings, the smallest (33mm-36mm) ring that came preloaded worked perfectly with the standard Plossl eyepiece that I used to test it out. Once mounted, everything feels very secure. The directions state that you should take the rubber eyecup off of the eyepiece if it has one. This makes sense. The Twist-Lock eyepiece holder really clamps down tight. It works great. As for the phone holder, it has two strong spring loaded arms that provide a very strong grip on the phone. You can slide the phone up and down in the vertical axis to allow for alignment of the camera lens. Once it's in place, you tighten the locking knob and you're ready to go. If you're not switching phones, this is something you should only have to do once. I can't wait to start putting this to the test out in the field. I'm excited about using it. I can't say that I ever felt this way about any of the previous garbage phone mounts I've tried. Definitely two thumbs up!

This is a little hard to use and not all phones are made the same. If you have a rather large phone, it might be hard to put on. My phone is standard size (not the large versions) so it works alright. It’s hard to get the perfect angle but somewhat achievable. I can see the inside of the microscope but I can’t seem to align the image to the center of my screen on my phone. It’s just impossible with the way the phone is mounted. Overall, you can still take pictures, just don’t expect the field of view to be completely centered with your phone screen.
