A fun read, and the ocean makes it better
Everything is better with salt water, in my opinion. This isn't a giant work of literature, but it's a fun story once you get rolling. A few of the interactions between the characters were especially good, and they have more depth than in most adventure tales. The book flies by quickly.I'm looking forward to the next book, because this book hints that it will be in the Galápagos. The natural wonders there will be a great backdrop for the story but I'm wondering where he will find bad guys in such a safe, friendly place. I guess that's why we have writers.Disclaimer: I know the author and started reading these books because of that, but I'm not involved in the books nor do I even run into him that often.

Enjoyable, adventurous, and thrilling. Another great read!
Suspenseful and enjoyable since the very first page. This book deals with the very real dangers of encountering sharks, exploring shipwrecks, discovering treasure, and embarking on a rescue mission to save a loved one--it’s the perfect read for someone who likes adventure books!I personally enjoy narratives that have strong character development, and I felt that each character in this book had their unique story, even the bad guys (learning the backstory of Slovo was heart-wrenching, so be prepared!). I also appreciate how this book allows the reader to experience a glimpse of life as a marine scientist (e.g. monitoring marine protected areas, conducting scuba observations). My favorite scene was the involvement of a submersible to analyze coral reef habitat!Blood Cold is a great sequel to Into a Canyon Deep. I’m excited to read about the next Chris Black adventure!

A great continuation of the Chris Black adventures!
Blood Cold starts hard and fast with a white shark incident in South Africa, and the energy and excitement continue throughout. It sports great characters, sharp and snappy dialogue, and a story that kept me engrossed. Lindholm is now one of the rare authors that I'll always buy without question. Highly recommended.
