Lasted longer than expected
I bought these when my Merrells needed to be retired, these looked a little bit like those so I thought I would take the chance on these. I go through shoes like crazy, I cannot afford to buy$300-$600 shoes every 6months to a year, which is the average time shoes last for me, I am on my feet a lot when working, walking around, turning around etc, it wears the souls down fast, and the interior of the shoes tend to wear as well.I did not expect these to last the way they did, until now or a couple of months ago they started to show wear inside the heels, the soles are unevenly worn and there is no real traction anymore. You can feel it when wearing the shoes now, they are not as cushy or comfy anymore. They have no real support nor did they have that new either, still quit comfortable once worn in.The fabric exterior of the shoe though, is very well kept, no noticeable wear at all. That said, I am not sure I would recommend these for the serious hiker, they are fairly waterproof but I wouldn't soak them, I am a mobile detailer and I get them moderately wet sometimes but haven't experienced drenched feet. Traction is ok for the average terrain, once the sole startg wearing they get a bit slippery but that goes for any shoe once you pass that first layer of the sole.I haven't done real hiking in these, I use them for work and occasional stroles and for that they work just great, I just don't feel that they are comfy, supportive, or waterproof enough to be used for serious hiking in the woods or mountains, for the occasional light hiking trail with a friend or your dog perhaps but if you really need to rely on the shoes, I would go for brands that are recognized for hiking. But for a casual everyday walker or work they have been working fine. I would buy again, but I will probably try something else this time around. My last shoes that I wore on duty in law-enforcement and latyer as a detailer for 6 years was $400, so in comparison these shoes did ok considering the price, but my other boots were made for heavy duty all terrain usage and should last that long, not expected from these cheaper shoes, so for the price I am happily surprised.Worth a try, especially if you are not hard on shoes like I am.

No Merrill
I did a search for a new pair of Merrill day hikers as my current ones were starting to wear out after 2 years. These came up and I purchased/received them before I realized they were another brand. Price was right and they looked good so I kept them. I walk 3 miles/day 5 days/week on asphalt and I wear hikers as their treads are usually stiffer and wear better than regular sneakers. I figure ~500-600 miles/year as I don't walk when I'm not at home. As mentioned above, the Merrills lasted 2 years. These new ones only lasted 6-8 months before they were more worn out than the Merrills. For me, costing more than 1/2 what I paid for the Merrills and lasting less than 1/2 the distance of the Merrills, I will go back to Merrills.

VERY comfortable duty shoes and RUGGED
I wanted some new duty shoes, but did not want boots plus, I hate spending $120 for work boots. Well, these were just what I needed. A friend of mine had a pair, and he was happy with them. I stepped it up a notch with the elastic laces and a custom orthotic insert. I had to take a picture of the orthotic, because I bought it right off the shelf and slipped it right in without even cutting it. I have worn these during the Lake Charles hurricane, and they have held up extremely well. Look at the soul! It is very deep and very rugged! Did not even slip on a greasy floor at work the other day. Very glad that I got these, and these will be my new work shoes. I will say, I wear a size 9 in a tennis shoe, and these were just a bit big. Once I put the insert in, they were just right.

not well bonded at the sole
definitely going to take some proper "wearing it in"... the only uncomfortable thing is that the heel is a little on the tall side so you have to walk half on your toes.insoles are a thing though so its really not the end of the world. very simple fix people.dont rate down cause you cant figure your sizes out and get an insole.going to take some time and see how long they last. so far they havent fallen apart. a little on the bigger side since i think they're going of European sizes. 12 American, but the label has only 47, so im forced to assume a little here. again, insoles will fix that.

Not bad sneakers
They fit a little small, and a little unconformable, and a little pain at the toes because they are a little short, not like a true 9, but I think they will be better when I brake them in, if I can put up with the pain. I really like the way they look.

Great for hiking
Great for hiking, but has comfort issues on hard surfaces. Don't expect to use them for everyday purposes. Best on natural turf

Need to read closer to make sure your getting what you wanted
Not broke in yet . So far seem ok thought would be a little lighter. Really thought I was buying Merrell did read closer looked a lot like the shoes I buy usually but they weren’t the same kind. Keep them and down the road hiking 🥾 will find out

A bit on the deep side
This shoe seems pretty well made but it was a bit bigger on my foot than expected. It would be perfect for someone with a fat foot, as the roof was a bit high. Returned item. Seems to be a ripoff of the moab2, which I bought instead and fit a bit more snug for just a few more dollars. Also, the arch support did not do it for me. Good if you have a semi-flat, fat foot.
