What a gem for those interested in potentially launching a search fund! I came across search funds recently and immediately gravitated towards the idea as a potential career track. This book was a great resource and addition to my previous research, and gave a helpful rundown of how an entrepreneur can approach running a search fund. It further inspired me to explore the path.

This wonderful book is a super addition to search fund literature and should be in every search funder’s library.

Really enjoyed this book. I took an EtA class in 2018 and this book helped me refresh what I had learned during those classes. Jan keep's it interesting with real world examples of searchers/entrepreneurs facing different scenarios across the journey. I very much enjoyed the fact that the book is both highly accessible and comprehensive, and can literally be understood by anyone.If you're new to EtA as a concept - this book can help serve you as a friendly guide.

The author gives practical advise from his own career. Highly recommend the book for everyone interested in M&A, IB, PE, etc. as well as entrepreneurs that realise that one is able to become a business owner without founding their own business.

I met Jan personally at the IESE Search Fund Conference many years ago, and heard him lecture and present quite a few times afterward.
