TLDR:Long story short, the Eversweet 3 is quiet, well made, good looking and feature rich, making it a great purchase for anyone with a cat or small dog.Overview:The PetKit Eversweet 3 is one of the best most aesthetically pleasing pet water fountains that you can purchase, it blends in well in any home thanks to its understated design. Our (spoilt Maine coon) Ophelia (Fe) absolutely loves her water fountain (if you can’t tell from the photos), so much that we actually own 2 PetKit water fountains, one of the Eversweet Pro/Wireless and then the Eversweet 3. We actually had the Eversweet Pro first due to its smart connectivity and being able to see information about the filter in the app, but when it came to buying a second water fountain we wanted one that offered some piece of mind that Fe would still have water during a power cut, hence going for the Eversweet 3.We mainly use the Eversweet 3 in smart mode, which means it will run the pump for 3 minutes and then stop for 3 minutes (and repeat), this not only saves energy but ensures that the filter lasts longer. You don’t have to worry about your pet not having water as the curved design of the drinking area means there is always water available to your pet.I would recommend the Eversweet 3 specifically to anyone who has long work days or goes away travelling often, as the peace of mind that the battery backup offers is extremely reassuring. However I would recommend any of the PetKit water fountains if you need to get your pet to drink more, as it has worked great to get Fe drinking more water (which anyone with a cat will know can be challenging).A few of the best bits:- Aesthetically pleasing - simple understated design that blends in well into any space- Quiet - the pump is not audible at all, you can only hear the running water which is quite relaxing- Battery backup - peace of mind that if a power cut occurs that your pet will still have drinking water- Filling/Cleaning - the split design/kettle like base to make it easy to fill up and clean- Quality - the outer plastic is solid and well made, and the stainless steel inside is super easy to keep clean- Indicator lights - make it clear when the filter needs changing or if it is low on waterPotential Future improvements:There are a few potential future improvements that would be great to see In order to make it a complete all round solution:- Adding a built in Lithium battery like some of the PetKit feeders have would remove some of the faff with the 5 AAA batteries that the unit takes.- Having a version that combines the smart connected features of the Eversweet Pro/Wireless with the battery backup of the Eversweet 3.- Including a plug, although handy that it is powered via USB it would be nice to have it included with the device at this price (we have USB ports on our sockets so not a big problem).- Making the cable part that plugs into the base removable, we got Fe as a kitten and she has so far chewed through 2 different cables in the house, so it would be nice to know that we could swap the cable if she decided to turn on her water fountain.

My cat used it as soon as we installed it. Not noisy and looks pretty, just a bit annoying to clean though, an overall recommended item for a cat owner :-)

This is my second purchase as I wanted a water fountain in two rooms.PROS-Attractive. robust. virtually silent.Easy to clean/refill, as you don't have to unplug the base, just lift the tank off the base.The water seems to stay much fresher than in my old fountain.My dog and cat like it and are drinking more water.The animals can either drink the water as it bubbles out, or from the slight bowl on the top.CONS -Expensive.The filters are not standard, and are pricey.There is no water level window or gauge. When the level drops too low, the motor just stops. There is a tiny red led indicator light which comes on, but this is easy to miss. My old fountain had a water level window, and a flashing red light when the level was dropping too low. At this price I am annoyed that the manufacturer couldn't add a better alerting method. How about a beep like the low battery alert on a smoke detector, or at the very least a gauge? Big oversight, especially since they give you the option of battery back-up in case of a power cut, which will happen far less frequently than the unit needing to be refilled.Other criticisms are, that no mains adaptor is included, and no batteries. As this is marketed as a premium item it seems very penny-pinching not to include these items as standard.

Stainless steel construction makes it very easy to clean and it comes apart easily. It's got plenty of capacity and the filters last a good amount of time. The indicator shows when the filter needs replacing or there's insufficient water.Would certainly get another!

I had a problem with my fountain so contacted the seller and explained my issue, they were extremely helpful and sorted out the problem very quickly...they gave me great customer service and I would not hesitate to buy from them again...thank you seller..!!

At first this fountain seemed ok although it would never work off the batteries alone as stated. The filters were re-designed shortly after I purchased the fountain which didn’t appear to cause any issues. However after only 4 months use, one of the rubber attachments that sits inside the fountain has grown mold on it. It will not come off and since they don’t make a replacement part the fountain is therefore now effectively useless to me. So £60 (plus cost of filters) has lasted me 4 months. Extremely unhappy about this and cannot see an option to return it. Please don’t waste your money, there are better options out there.

Worked on and off for a few weeks then began not turning on again after being cleaned and disconnected for any length of time. Had to faff about with it to get it working again. Finally packed up totally today after I'd cleaned it again. Pump jammed solid! Waste of money! Do not go anywhere near this expensive, over complicated piece of rubbish!

I’ve been using this for more than a month now, the best part of this product is that it is super quiet. You can hear literally nothing!Cats use this well and design is good too :)
