Robin Hood (Evergreen Classics)

This book has some of the most lovely language and storytelling of all time. It's equal parts beautiful, exciting and funny. The language is Old English. That's okay. As a high school kid I would have survived that, figuring it out by context clues as I went and still absolutely loving each page of this. The storytelling language is superb in this. Every chapter is told via lyric as if it was being sung to you orally by campfire, passed down generation to generation. Stunning. This book is tied with another as my favorite book of all time.

the language is extremely outdated and very difficult to read. defiantly not suitable for children reading.
