The Handmaidens

Great Novel, as a fan of John Willie art etc.... this is my second copy.. my first one did the rounds and was hard to get back lol!Before the days of 50 shades, this novel gives a fair description of events in this fictional location and era. Its easy Vocab and straight down to business... if you like BBC2 period stuff and liked their " desperate romantics" drama about the brotherhood then this carries you way forward!If you leave it on the table in your canteen it will walk!... trust me... :-)

If I could have given it zero stars I would have. The book focuses almost exclusively on the erotic with little attempt to develop the story or the characters with the result that each erotic episode blurred into the next and became pure drudgery to read. There was only one thing to do in the end and that was bin it.
