The Bristle Bone kept our Lab mix's teeth and gums clean for all 13 years of his life. The treats used to be great until the company began making them in China. That's when we bought a dehydrator and made our own treats to put in the bristles from fresh chicken or beef. We don't trust anything made in China for our dogs. Remember the melamine in baby formula.

I just gave this to my girl and she was very excited and began chewing on it pretty vigorously. I sat and watched her for about 5 minutes to make sure it was sturdy enough to leave her alone with and it seemed to be, so I started working on a school assignment. The next time I looked up (less than 40 mins later) she not only had the bone unscrewed but also had each of the components off of the main rod and was chewing on one of the purple rubber rings that are very much throat sized. Luckily I was in the same room with her and noticed her throwing it around or she may have accidentally swallowed it and I might not have known until it was too late.Unfortunately, I did not read these reviews before purchasing or I would have seen all of the other concerned dog owners' warnings. Please don't buy these for your dogs, especially if you will not be watching like a hawk the whole time they play. I was sitting right next to her and she still managed to get it apart without me noticing. I think I have finally learned my lesson that any toy that is made to come apart WILL come apart when my dog plays with it, and that can be dangerous!

I am so angry! I just received this Busy Buddy TODAY and it has wounded my dog! This is just form 6 hours of owning this dog bone. Literally 6 hours…..The plastic “sharp as a needle” bristles came off and we’re stuck “like a stick pin” inside my dog’s bloody gums. And on top of that…This could kill any dog that ingests these shard-like glass bristles so easily!!!!! There are great reviews for this product on YouTube and Amazon and it is the most dangerous toy I have ever seen! DO NOT BUY any BUSY BUDDY products!!!! Even the bone ends have tiny plastic poisonous bits that are chewed off easily and swallowed. Oh and if you try to return these products, there are NO RETURNS! Shame on the manufacturer of these products! You need to pay for my vet bill!!!!! And you call your company & manufacturer PET SAFE! Pfft!
