Some nice ideas, but not sure how practical they are
Small Space Organizing is a guide to creating a nice home even if it's only a tiny flat or a single room. I did find some parts of this book useful. The advice on decluttering and down-sizing was very good and would certainly be useful for someone moving into a small home for the first time. I also liked the section giving advice to someone who is having to equip a kitchen for the first time. It is very easy to buy more crockery and equipment than you really need and I found her suggested list very useful.I did have some problems with this book. Firstly, whilst some of her ideas sound lovely the lack of photos meant I was struggling to picture them. Secondly, I do think you need to be reasonably well-off to afford a lot of her ideas. Her suggestions for those living in a studio flat mostly involve you buying specialist furniture and storage. I suspect most people living in studio flats live in them because they have very little money. I would have liked more suggestions on how you can adapt things you already have. Her section on living in a high-rise apartment involves her talking about benefits like having access to an on-site gym, business facilities and a "party room" you can hire. I've not sure how many blocks of flats here have those facilities! The author is American and I think some of her tips are not that useful for British homes which are generally smaller than those in America. For example, in her section on living rooms she suggests buying an ottoman and an armoire for storage. In my opinion if you can fit an ottoman and an armoire in your living room you are not living in a small house!

Could have been much better....where are the pictures?
A few good ideas but for the price I expected photos (there are none whatsoever in this book) and a bit more expansion on some of the more novel ideas.Save your money - I don't think this is worth the download price.
