This table looks beautiful and is as promised and described, the wood finish is really pretty and good quality. However the assembly of the feet was painfully difficult and the bolts provided stripped almost instantly and had to be reworked and replaced. There are only 12 bolts but they were a PITA to get in there. Still this is a solid purchase if you can deal with the assembly and looks great in my family room.

I wanted an alternative mangowood coffee table, similar to West Elm's Mangowood Industrial line. This one appealed to me because it had the two shelves -- perfect spot for remotes to be out of sight yet easily accessible.As others mentioned, the table's wood is sturdy and quite respectable. Mine does have the yellowing on some pieces (a variant of spalting); for those wondering, the twice-as-expensice West Elm Mangowood line is also like this. It's a characteristic of the wood that is actually sought after.I got lucky with the table itself. My lift top is flush with the rest of the tabletop, which was my top concern. I did have a loose stabilizing bar, and screws and washers rattled all around the unit. But they were easy fixes. I subtract a star for this QA issue.I subtract another star for a weirder issue: the box stinks terribly like manure. So much so that, even after a couple days, the scent persists in the house. All surfaces that have touched the box smell like it. Some disinfecting wipes and soap on table and floor did the trick... But I can't help but wonder why it smelled like that... Makes you wonder.Overall, 3 stars. About the same quality as West Elm if you want to speculate on QA and can deal with a terrible smell for a couple days.

I already have one of these Simpli Home large coffee tables where the top comes up and two compartments and bought my girlfriend a "gray" one. I appears very gray on the pictures but in person it is not that gray. In the words of my gf they put one coat of stain on and they were done. Doesn't look gray to me it more looks like wood that was distressed or exposed to the elements for a few years but it didn't match the picture and I would not call it gray especially if I didn't know that is what it was supposed to be. Gray in spots okay, but a clean crisp gray like the picture no! Especially considering they recently jacked up the price of the "gray." It was supposed to match her floors and I was a little envious (thinking to give her the one she had bought me - I wouldn't lol) but once I saw it I was perfectly happy with mine. Otherwise this is a great West Elm like piece of furniture, high quality, at a fraction of the price. Stick with the natural color wood, trust me I have one of each in the house as we speak...About to buy a third one for my den (36") the longer you own it the easier it is to lift but stays in place once in place. It was difficult to open when we got the first one but now, a few years later it is very easy to open the spring is not as tight as before. Still solid, no other complaints. Other than making it easier to lift the loosening of the spring has not had any ill side effects.

Beautiful table and exactly as advertised! I was unconcerned with the little bit of yellowish color in the wood grain - it's a natural.part of the medium colored wood grain, and very natural looking. My table top sits flush and functions well. There was a bit of damage, though - a piece of the wood where the magnet is was broken off. I contacted the manufacturer and Amazon, and a partial credit was arranging in lieu of having to return it. Very satisfied!

It is sturdy, and the top lines up perfectly! Probably because my hubby is great at assembling things - he gathers the necessary tools, lays things out in an organized fashion, takes his time and does things right. This table will last forever in our Airbnb. I just ordered the matching end tables…

This is an amazing coffee table. It is great in pretty much all aspects!- Assembly: Super easy. Being solid wood, the whole wooden part was already assembled. All I had to assemble were the stands, took 15 minutes.- Material: The solid mango wood is simply gorgeous. The color is a warm reddish brown that goes perfectly with my hardwood floors. It has a natural finish that feels nice to touch.- Build: This coffee table is constructed very well. It sits heavy on the floor. The hinge mechanism for the lifting plate is also constructed well. Since it is heavy, the lifting plate can support a good amount of weight without the risk of breaking or toppling over.- Look: Very nice modern design. It really adds to the room it is in.- Function: One of the primary reasons why we purchased this table was because of the lifting top plate. We use this feature every day, while eating and watching TV, and studying/working. One of the distinguishing factors of this model compared to its competitors is the how wide the lifting top part is. At 48", it allows for 2 people eat at the same time easily, with room to spare for common table items.All in all, we've been loving this coffee table. I can't think of a single It's a bit high priced compared to others, but you get your money's worth. Highly recommended!

We have never ordered furniture online so I was skeptical that the furniture would be as described. This table is exactly as described. It is a very solid piece of furniture with very heavy duty lift mechanism. We didn't think we would like the gold legs, but they are very subtle (not bright gold) and you hardly notice them once the table is in the room. The table comes completely assembled except the legs so it took about 5 minutes to put it together. It took longer to get it out of the box because it was really well packed.
