I tried this White Tea on the recommendation of a friend and was very pleasantly surprised. It is incredibly light of flavor and body so that one's first impression is that it is somewhat tasteless, but after relaxing "getting to know it" I find it to be subtly quite flavorful with a definite richness. I think the flavor is a bit more difficult to detect because this tea seems to be low in tannins and the acids which often gives tea it's "bite". If I had one word to describe it, that would be "clean". The color is beautifully light. I can easily get 2-3 pots from the same leaves - just use slightly hotter water and let it steep a little longer each time. I like it hot with nothing added and iced with a bit of sweetener. Yes, it is more expensive than many other tea's but I'd say it is worth it and will plan to purchase more.

I just tried this tea for the first time and - it is exceptional. I think it is important to say that tea drinking was a tradition in my home so I have drunk many teas over many years. This tea is exceptionally good, you cannot escape the freshness, the purity and great quality - the flavor is pure. The date of picking is shown on the package - showing that freshness is important to Vahdam Teas - and this makes ALL the difference in a great cuppa!Equally important is the ethics behind the company - suggest you read about them.Hope this is helpful if you are looking for a healthy, great tasting tea.P.S. I'm not a tea expert, but I do like this tea very much!! There's something quite lovely about getting out your tea ball and filling it with leaves. I like to drink it from my grandmother's engagement present tea cup. (Nearly 100 old) So my cup in old and fragile, and this tea is fresh and elegant. Make for a nice cuppa. The seller is very communicative, too. I enjoyed reading the story of his company and family business. He even sends a self-sealing quality bag to keep your tea in once you've opened the vacuum-packed package of tea leaves.

I was greatly impressed by the care Vahdam Teas took with their product. To insure freshness, they were individually sealed in re-sealable, insulated bags. Then you are given an empty, insulated and re-sealable bag in which to store it all. The dates the leaves were picked are on each package along with the type of tea. Also included is a chart that tells you how long to steep each different type of tea, e.g., white 4-5 minutes, Black 2-3 and so on. I did not expect such attention to detail. I can also assure you that their customer service is excellent - above and beyond the norm from any other company with whom I've ever dealt. Please try their teas without fear and with the knowledge you will be receiving the best product available - and delicious!

I've never seen tea that looks like this before except in super high end Asian restaurants (including in Asia.) So fresh, clean and beautiful. I like my tea light, and often I can double-soak leaves so they last extra long. I have tried other white teas in the meantime and nothing compares. Spirit brand tea is also good but very expensive, this is much easier to secure from Amazon and to me has a better flavor and better value. My only suggestion would be to also offer a larger bag option and/or include or offer a tin for this.

I contacted the company Vahdam requesting to see the lead testing reports and they refused to share them. This is very suspicious and concerning!!! I will throw the white tea out and not repurchase .

I really was prepared to love this tea. So many good reviews, liked the message of the company. It is pretty expensive, but as a person with many food allergies who has to worry about cross contamination, I'm used to paying more. Good news, I did not react to the tea. Bad news? I like a strong tea, so I steep for quite a while, usually about 10 minutes. The flavor was very mild, and pretty weak. I added more leaves, still pretty weak. Didn't taste bad, bitter, or anything like that, just too mild and weak for my taste. I'll probably wind up finishing the box at some point, but have gone back to my usual brand, best leaf silver needle.

I really do love this white tea! It took me a couple of tries to figure out the right amount of the loose tea leaves to use for my own liking. For me, a little goes a long way. This tea is so clear I can see all the way to the bottom of my cup. I don't see any color to the brew, but it has a nice, smooth, full bodied, but delicate taste once I got it right. Yum! My other two brands of white teas are just sitting on the shelf in my cupboard. This one really has become my favorite. Enjoy!
