Works well with patience - good value
Documentation is horrible. Read doc from other manufacturers of similar torque meters. Great value for 250 ft-lbs job! Mine has a strange quirk that is quite annoying. While using a breaker tightening some overhead structural bolts, if the device was allowed to "slide back" due to gravity on the 1/2" drive and "tap" the wrench shaft, the device would turn itself off without notice. I'm not kidding. You have to keep the device window facing you at all times so you can positively know the device is actually "ON" before you start to apply force. If I was using this daily or weekly I would find an alternative. I compared to a traditional click wrench and it was consistently lower by 4 ft-lbs between 40-120 ft-lbs. Don't know which tool is correct in absolute terms however they are consistent. Again, I think good value for the price and occasional use. One final thought packaging is above average. Battery compartment is held together with 4 tiny screws. Fortunately they supply the screwdriver and the case contains a screwdriver AND a spot for extra batteries. You won't lose the pieces..

Good, almost great
I bought this torque adapter the special Black Friday pricing due to it being compact and easy to carry around, overall I am happy with it at a price of under $50 as I also have a couple of good full size torque wrenches, it seems to read comparable to them in my limited testing, it is certainly lighter and smaller, which is the main reason I bought it, I just wish its carrying case was a bit more compact. Now the good and the bad, I like the display with the color coded LED's, and progressive beeping as you approach the torque set point. The Good points, it seems to work over a wide range of torque values, there was a also an included calibration test sheet (though some lines are blank, like testing date, and signature), the display is reasonably intuitive, there is also a set of spare batteries included, with one set in the adapter with, with a pull to activate plastic tab, as well as a spare set in the carrying case. There is even a small screw driver included used to open the battery compartment There are also step up / down adapters allowing it to be used with 1/2 or 3/4 inch sockets, and step down wrench adapter letting it be used with 1/2 or 3/8 wrench handles. Now the Bad, As mentioned above the carrying case is somewhat large having space for those adapters, spare batteries, etc., overall function is good, but has one BIG flaw it powers off after 60 seconds of inactivity, which can often be too short of time to get wrenches in position in awkward spots. Also one of the included batteries was inserted backwards, which I caught right away, but could have been a big headache to spot if I had not been paying close attention when I pulled the pull to activate plastic tab. Also like many tools the instruction sheet is minimal, and written in poor English, though it is better than many I have seen.If the power down timer had been just a bit longer say 120-180 seconds I could see giving it 5 stars, but 60 seconds is just too short of time. The bad points,

None existant support number, email, or website. Incorrectly tested or wrong specs in manual.
First of all I am not sure how they think anyone can get away with selling a product that shows different specs and then have no Made in [country] stated which last I recall is Illegal. It just says ray jay ltd which is nice since it's based in Taiwan but I don't speak Taiwanese. So maybe I can ask my support question here:1. Why does the manual pictured not the same as the product spec?If I destroy my engine because it can't read under 50lf lb in the manual unlike the product description which says 12ft lb-250 when installing spark plugs who do I call do reimburse me for a destroyed engine? Thanks.*edit update*Hate to leave one star as I tested it but still not sure of it's accuracy from 12-20 ftlb as the manual said it wasn't specced for this. Some kind of warranty info and support email would be nice?

Accurate, easy to use
As in title, this is accurate and easy to use and learn. It is sensitive. Begins reading as soon as there's pressure. The LEDs are handy but beware, you need to slow down when the yellow/orange light comes on. I think it's about 5lbs before the set limit, but you can easily go past it if you're cranking on it. A little much to pay for what it does - compared to the old clicker wrenches. Have to see how well it holds up long-term, but historically I don't use torque wrenches too often, so for me, it should last a long time. I used it to re-torque my ATV wheels as a test run. I am pleased with it.
