Although they are difficult to get apart, they are great for greenhouse starts. I used to use toilet paper tubes which disintegrated before the starts we’re ready for planting. These fit into plastic produce tubs from the grocery store that have dome lids. The pots warm up in mini greenhouses and help germination. They stay together until planting in the ground…then they compost.

These will degrade naturally and they never try to constrain the roots!!!

I have had mixed results starting seedlings in these plots, though I suspect it may be due to my own methods rather than the quality of these starter pots. I have learned here in my first growing season back in Maine that I need to use better quality potting soil rather than the topsoil that tends to have a rougher texture and small wood pieces through it. Also, just as the excessive heat in Florida hampered my efforts at starting plants, the cold in spring here does also. I started plants up overhead in the barn where it got warmer than outside, but it still got cold at night and there was perhaps not enough sunlight coming in the windows.So I would not avoid these particular pots next time as some of my seedlings did just fine and the pots do seem to be slowly degrading as needed for when they are transplanted, which I have started to do on the ones that have done better. Lessons learned and so we will see in the future if it makes a difference.

Great idea way better than peat in my opinion but some of them seem not as well made as others in the package

Fantastic product for growing tomatoes. They sprouted in three days. The small plants are sturdy and standing straight. I have been gardening for sixty plus years and am amazed with this product.Will certainly be purchasing more in the future.

Love the fact that they are from copies and easy to use
