She is lovely, feisty, skinny, and smart!
Ms. Conway is a storyteller dujour! I thoroughly enjoyed learning of her New Jersey upbringing, of her teenage years of working on the blueberry farm, of her all-work-and-no-play early years in Washington, of her courtship with George, of her divine motherhood, of her love for the Catholic faith and stance of being pro-life, and of course of being the first woman to successfully manage a presidential campaign followed by a four-year role as counselor to the greatest president ever known, Mr. President Donald J. Trump. She is lovely, feisty, skinny, and smart.Highlights of the book include where she quotes President Trump's response to Crooked Hillary's collapse just before the election: "Geez! Did you see that? She folded like an accordion." LOL. She rightly counseled him to keep that thought away from Twitter in respect of the 9/11 remembrance day.My second favourite moment includes where she discusses reaction to her inauguration outfit. For years I have been annoyed by liberals who live in yoga pants. I am a yoga practitioner extraordinaire but one shall never see me in public wearing yoga pants including when walking my dogs at midnight, even though I look spectacular in them! And Ms. Conway addressed this same notion regarding her beautiful military-style Gucci ensemble of red white and blue: "My coat would instantly become a meme, sparking an interest and media snarkfest that compared me to Barbie, Paddington Bear, and nutcracker soldier. 'Sorry to offend the black-stretch-pants-wearing women of America with a little color... I apologize to everybody out there who no longer wears anything that zips, buttons, or snaps for having a little class on Inauguration Day.'" HA!But my all time favourite part of the book is when after intelligently bringing critique to the "ladies" of The View, she took a FAT JAB oh so thinly yet thickly at loser Meghan McCain. She commented that "The Federalist was known for hiring young, beautiful, thin conservatice women" and that she encountered Meghan's husband at an Axios event where he was surrounded by "one such mini-entourage." And when Ms. Conway broached the subject of Meghan, he put down his wife's new spot on The View, saying it is "the worst show on television." That section ended with a microphone drop that only thin beautiful conservative girls like myself can read, decipher, and find as humorous. But Meghan's not dumb and probably very sensitive about her weight, so I bet this comment by Ms. Conway sent Meghan back into her room like when Joy Behar offended her: "I went back to my office and I had a panic attack. I was crying I was hyperventilating. I threw up." Excellent work, Ms. Conway.Ms. Conway's very raw writing about her feelings as it pertains to her traitor husband's tweets really tugged at my heart. I am certain that I would have handled the situation very similarly: basically not. Like Ms. Conway, in the outside world, I'll take you to battle over politics (I prefer to call it philosophy on life). But in the home, I do not like or want confrontation ever. And now at the book's conclusion she is questioning the future state of her marriage. I hope that she can find happiness. My only criticism of the book is page 456 to 486 where she blabs on and on about President Trump and his "loss." Of course we know that the election was stolen and that he truly won. I think she was simply building her case for why she was the better campaign manager (and she was) to what President Trump used in 2020. Neither here nor there, I stand with President Trump who Truthed the following: "Kellyann Conway never told me that she thought we lost the election. If she had I wouldn't have dealt with her any longer - she would have been wrong - could go back to her crazy husband. Writing books can make people say some very strange things. I wonder why? Got 12 million more votes than we did the first time, the most votes, by far, of any sitting President. The election was RIGGED. They used Covid to cheat and steal, and the evidence is massive and indisputable. See 2000 Mules." Thusly, although the remaining 470 pages presented a captivating beautiful story, I can offer only 4 stars as it is imperfect due to her written opinion about the 2020 election. The end!

A Woman's Story - Family, Career & Attacks on One's Children
This is a thick book. It's going to take some time to read it thoroughly. I have not read the political part. Frankly, I was most interested in the drama surrounding her eldest daughter, Claudia. I was horrified back in the day when Claudia publicly criticized & denigrated her mother. My own family had lived overseas when I was a child, and it was drummed into us not to repeat anything we heard in the house outside the house. I could not imagine that type of betrayal. Of course, that was way before Tik Tok or any kind of social media.Kellyanne puts on a fervent defense of her daughter. She focuses on her daughter's age, fifteen, and her teenage desire for social media fame. She also focuses on how the girl was victimized by adult media figures, hoping to use the teenager as a weapon against Trump. Chief of those was the sleazy New York Times reporter, Taylor Lorenz. Lorenz started at the NYT in 2019 and then moved over to the Washington Post in mid-2022, so we can assume her career benefitted from her "grooming" the teenage daughter of a Trump staffer. Conservtives might recognize Lorenz's name from her harassment of The Libs of Tik Tok creator, including showing up at a relative's house and videotaping herself confronting a confused homeowner. Back in 2020, though, Lorenz contented herself with contacting Kellyanne's daughter via Tik Tok. Lorenz's one concession to Claudia's age was to tell her that, if Claudia was uncomfortable contacting Lorenz, she should pass on her contact information to her mother and have her mother call her. Her mother did not contact Lorenz, but instead complained to the NYT editors, moving up the ladder as one after the other refused to take the matter seriously. After all, fifteen year old Claudia put herself out there on Tik Tok and made herself a public figure. So, are the children of political figures fair game? Are your children fair game? There is a reason even the Mafia considers families out of bounds. And I would note that it is the vicious drug cartels that do go after families. Who make a point of it, in fact. That is a line you canot uncross. There is more to this story, of course. At the time. Kellyannee's husband George was bitterly anti-Trump. He was one of the co-founders of the Lincoln Project, even after having started out as a Trump supporter. It's hard not to believe that George Conway had been the star of the family, while Kellyanne was a stay at home mom with their four kids, and that he could not accept Kellyanne's very public success as Trump's campaign manager and then as Trump's senior consultant in the White House. The real sacrifice required for Kellyanne's political success was the failure of her marriage.Kellyanne demonstrates iron will power in matters of her family. She does not criticize her husband, per se, but this was all very public in 2020, and she recites what happened. She does not ever, ever criticize her eldest daughter, nor any of the other kids. At the end, she is confident that she & the kids will make it through whatever life throws at them. But about her husband, all she says is that they may not make it. She goes on to state that he continues to father the kids, spending time wih them and remaining a part of their lives. It is unlikely, though, that you'll run across both George and Kellyanne with the kids at the same time.Kellyanne found spectacular success in politics. She is the ONLY woman who has ever run a successful presidential campaign. She also paid a high price for that success. No one handles a 24/7 job without paying a high price for it. Still, my money is on Kellyanne. She is a woman of deep values, with life-long friends, and a devoted extended family. This Jersey Girl will be all right, regardless of the obstacles.

Excellent read…or in my case, listen! :)
This book and audio was excellent. It’s long, but every minute was thoughtful, insightful, and made for extraordinary book. Kellyanne Conway told her stories warts and all. Worth the time to read or listen.

Great Book. I’m now a bigger fan of Kellyanne and not just because of our name.
If you are looking for something to read. I loved her stories and discussions about her experiences working at the White House and with President Trump. Some of the political jargon went over my head but it really created an overhead view of what it was like being in her shoes. I see it as motivational for young women to follow their dreams.

I thought it should start out more about her boss and not so much about her. So haven’t finished it as of yet.?

THe greatest
This book is a must read. Besides being a quick thinker, she tells it like it is even admitting he own errors without offering an excuse. She gives credit where credit is due even to people that hurt her. This is a tremendous read, hard to put down. She exemplifies the strong, bold, unbending but not unfeeling, successful woman that every female can look to as a role model.
